some of you are missing my theoretical point about Sweden.
the places with the strictest lock downs are now in the middle of a new surge in cases.
if Sweden has no new surge, it MIGHT, turn out they lose the same amount of lives over all, without all the additional deaths caused by the economic and societal consequences of the lock downs.
you can only count the numbers when the pandemic is over. the dance isnt over till the music stops. thats my point about Sweden.
you must understand that the lock down causes deaths too. there are many studies out there showing very grave consequences of the lock downs, specially for kids and specially their future.
we don't even notice the effects that will have on this generation yet. we already know suicides are skyrocketing, cancer/medical treatments are missed and postponed, people are not execising, drinking way too much.
we have no idea whether the lock down will kill more people in the long run then covid. just a few points in the stats in terms of poverty can cost thousands of extra lives yearly.
thats not even counting the breakdown and cost to society, when all these locked down people come out with cabin feever and burn their town down.

IMO we are saying Biden is the solution to save the country from Trump. Nothing more than that. He is def not who id vote for if Trump wasn't running. Bad choices wont change with a 2 party system. Until the majority sees the rich for who they are it is what it is. We are far from the best country IMO. I'm hopeful we can fix that, I wouldn't hold my breath given the choices we have. . .

I was having a similar debate 5 yrs ago. Trump won on 2 promises: place a conservative judge in SCOTUS and the 2nd amendment. How has that work out for youz.
From day one Americans never accepted the elections and did everything in their power to remove him. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, its probably a duck. Im OK with the Supreme court judges. Of course I wouldn't have picked the same people. So far this SC has upheld all cases that matter. The only 1 was congress couldn't get his tax records. The state of NY got them.
For me Im confident he won only because of the help from Russia. There's plenty of prof of this massive miss info campaign. Cambridge was a huge success for Russia. Many US citizens had rally's paid for by Russia.
Trump is a amoral person. He hols none of the interpersonal skills to be a POTUS. I knew he was a crook before he was a candidate. He conned hundreds with his university scam. He used those funds as his own bank account paying for things like self portraits and paying cases lost from being sued.. He is a racist that wouldn't rent to people of color. He has numerous lawsuits of sex crimes.
For me its not mostly about policy. He is shit of a man. Bent on destroying the USA as long as he makes $$. Only the worst of us are those he protects.. Everyone else fuckum. No matter how much a group doesn't like a POTUS he must rise above the BS and lead us all. There are countless reasons he isn't capable of being a good POTUS. I don't have the same opinion about Biden.
IMO Biden has morels/ethics trump doesn't posses. I have great concerns about the shit not being reported like the roll back of environmental protections. Russians influence in our country. The lack of upholding the law for rich people. Im concerned Trumps divulged top secret info to Putin. I don't have the same concerns with Biden. Id rather give Biden 4 years than give Trump 4 more. Like I said we have a shitty 2 party political shit show. I have no choice but to vote my conscious and pick who I think will help us the most and keep out plant safer from corporations.. I wish we could have candidates that are worthy. Its all run by rich corrupt politicians and corporate entities. Trumps filled every top job with the swamp. Far worse than it ever was.
Its never gonna change in my lifetime. Trumps made his base hate any that doesn't drink there coolaid. The amount of trust they put in him is the saddest part. He doesn't care about any, he just wants there vote to stay in power. Ive never put that amount of trust into any politician. We don't have any say how our country is run no matter which side lives in the WH. Its all paid for by rich pedophiles. Our political processes has been broken for decades.
