Did the mask stop it from spreading in China? No!
Do the people who've covered their face in public all their life catch it? Yes!
Is there any scientific evidence that says wearing a mask prevents Covid 19? No!
If it was that bad why aren't they handing out the masks for free?
One masks probably cost 5 pence, but they're being sold for £1.00 each, that's some profit when you work out how many billions of masks that's sold to the masses.
My father died on the 27th of July from sepsis, but he had stage 4 cancer in his bowl, liver, and one of his lungs, and to top it all off my younger brother who works in a old people's home apparently tested positive without any symptoms and he was on lockdown with my dying father for 2 weeks with my father who was very poorly and they tested my father 4 times from when my brother tested positive, until a few days before the end of his life in wiral hospital, and all 4 tests came back negative.
So if my old man who was dying before our very eyes can somehow share a small 2 bedroom house with somebody who tested positive for 2 weeks and not catch it why would you need wear a face mask prevent you catching it?
I don't believe a word what they tell us and even if it is real it's got the same kill rate as a bad flu season and 98.3% of the population are safe anyway.
And is it a coincidence that we're being force fed communism while on lockdown and communist (fist punching) BLM can go around in large groups tearing down our history by pulling down our statues and then the government replaces them with lovely communist BLM statues while we all stay inside in the name of a virus that's been blew way out of proportion.? No!
The same people who tell you wear a mask told you not take ibuprofen, but now they tell you take it. The same people who say it's ok for you go the pup, but God forbid if visit a family member.
And don't forget that you can have it and have no symptoms, so don't dare stay at home and have a baby boom, because it's in positive people's sperm (lol) and they'll pass it onto you Lolololololol.

nevermind the fact that in many places the death rate for infection is like a hundred times thst of the flu, and in ZERO places is it even that close to the much lower death rate for flu, even in places where they largely controlled the spread and the hospitals didn't get screwed

Farmersmith, sorry for your father. Sorry for you because there is scientific evidence that masks slow the spread of the virus, I hate them but I wear one to protect my fellow humans...

of course, if you work in design, you're always trying to make a large diverse group of specialists happy. in order to do that, you HAVE to listen to them. every one.
people don't want to know the details about Covid19.
i think it's related to the general inability to "let in bad news", i.e. news that is perceived as bad.
the general public is stuck in the mindset that Covid19 only does 2 things.
that's going to cost a lot of young people their futures.
disability rate for Covid cases is 10% to 50%, data is still 'young'.
one way to find out is to go to the Covid patient discussion groups, and ask how many people want to participate in a 10K. or to play badminton or tennis. then ask how many used to do social exercise things.
if people knew, everyone would be wearing masks AND eye shields.
instead there's a generation of bikers bare-backing (having un-protected sex with 250,000 strangers) in North Dakota.
i dare say, Covid19 is sounding a lot worse than AIDS.
I’ve seen a lot of people wearing them on their chin, for some reason.... and many people who think the nose doesn’t count.
I think that a lot of people don’t realise- as you posted- masks don’t prevent the virus, they just slow the spread.
Most people probably don’t realise that a 1000 bed hospital may only have 20-30 intensive care beds.
Easier to see how they can get overwhelmed.
If governments put even a fraction of their defence budgets into supporting healthcare, we probably wouldn’t be in this mess.

I am happy ro report, in my community, there were no masks in sight.
I picked up soil amendments for the flowering girls in the full season greenhouse, got a massage, picked some bits for dinner from the farmers market, and some ammo to run thru my new evil black rifle. And got a bit of fuel.
Everyone looked healthy to me. That is good enough.
I used to be scared of dying, esp when I was younger and we were pushing the cocaine envelope, now not so much.
You ought to see my tan, im carrying enough D3 to last me a hundo years.
