Wow, seems that you forget that Hitler and the Nazi's killed 11 million people, and used the exact sentiment of nationalism that you are using here to defend their actions.

Everything you don't know is fake to you. That's a lot of fake news
Reliable testing was available early on and has become more so with the passage of time.the whole world bought bunk testing kits, the contact tracing people in this country will not let you out of quarantine based on a negative test result. they openly tell you that there can be false negatives. i know this first hand from them. also from the news reports about the tests that came out at the beginning. there were stories in many news sources about these tests being unreliable, you only have to google it. to be honest these news articles were linked in the threads about covid. strange, to now have folks trying to say the tests are good and reliable, lol.
fake news
I still find it amazing that the people who say you can’t trust the media...depend on media to tell them that. It’s like they have no mind, no will of their own, have surrendered themselves to the bullshit of the moment, as long as they think it reinforces them.
“We are poor little lambs, who have lost our way...baaa, baaa, baaa....”

A lot of people took advantage of their positions and set up fly by night outfits to hustle everything from masks to test supplies in an effort to make money off of this.
The countries that have taken traditional public health based approach have made out the best, as one would expect. There will be more viruses of this nature in the future. They may be far more virulent.
We need to be better prepared.
Bunk tests are available, right along with bunk N95 masks, if you are using other than normal supply chains, extreme caution is appropriate.
Masks and social distancing.

on the other hand i'm thankful they take the job of keeping the peace seriously allowing kids to still play outside unsupervised etc.
The testing is not 100%. Why do you expect it to be? Life is not 100%. We play so the odds are in our favor.thats all true, but thats not what im talking about.
the contact tracers for the Swiss government here in Switzerland called up my bro shortly after the teacher told him his eldest was in a class with 2 others that tested positive.
the contact tracers called and told my bro he had to quarantine the whole family for 10 days. then they told my bro that even if he gets the family tested and its negative he is still not allowed to break quarantine because the test can give false results. so thats right here and right now, in a relatively rich, well run western nation called Switzerland, with good health care system and a nation wide health insurance mandate. so if we can't get reliable tests i doubt the UK or US has them in scale either.
as i related earlier, at my 6 month check for the hearing loss caused by lung infection i went through. the specialist told me the same thing about the tests.
luckily my bro only has another day to go, at least this time. probably gonna happen again during the winter. and they do actually visit to check if you are home. there is now also large fines that they can impose if you break the quarantine.
i so hate seeing the place become more of a police state, then we already are, on the other hand i'm thankful they take the job of keeping the peace seriously allowing kids to still play outside unsupervised etc.
Am sorry that you find the measures which keep you and your loved ones safe to be an inconvenience. Life can be rough at times, a good attitude is an invaluable asset.thats all true, but thats not what im talking about.

I can only address how things are here. The president canned the public health personal who job function was to have the country deal with this in as effective way as possible. As a result, the response has been confused, to be polite about it. The abundance of bunk tests here would seem to be an inevitable result of how things were handled from the inception.huh? i thought we were talking about the quality of the test or lack there of?
i had to do all the shopping and errands for my parents too as they got it pronounced a while back, due to a visiting relative from a hot zone.
sure its a bit inconvenient but it actually makes sense. now if only the tests were worth their price we could really start sortng things out. but still, we follow the orders 100%, convenient or not. not gonna be us responsible for an out break.
thats not why i said the tests are faulty, its because it needs to be remembered when you hear the new cases numbers and you also need to know that a negative test is practically meaningless.
... and your proud to announce that!anyone need a mask i sold 92 n95 masks on ebay for 45 bucks a pop
