SKIP I sent an email this morning about a IC thread I am subbed to. However, I am unable to access it now. Neither can I locate the thread in my subbed list.
Here is a copy of the IC email notification of comment made to thread I am subbed to:

Please PM me
most likely this thread is gone
I'd suggest using a proxy for awhile, and yes do change passwords on other sites, esp. if it's been a long time (for everyone). Run an anti-virus first if you haven't.so question for you skip...
if i havent logged in over there for a while is it safe to go over and change the pws?
That explains why nothing but a message saying they'll be back shortly is all that I get. I'm running Linux, only see a page with a message saying they'll be back shortly. The only people that have anything to really worry about are the ones who have paid for memberships with that site. Everybody else, myself included, needs a spyware scan and a bong hit.
We can agree to disagree...far worse things have happened and I don't like to worry unnecessarily, that's all. Just throwing in my $.02...thank you for the tip either way, and I don't mean that sarcastically.
IIRC, Macs use OSX, which is yet another flavor of Linux. Something tells me the hackers have only targeted Windows users.Best to change your PW here if your using the same as over there I recon.
I'm not a member at TF or RIU but have visited TF recently both on my Mac machine and Ubuntu box. Do I have anything to worry about or was this strictly a PC virus?
I stopped worrying about viruses and trojans years ago after having ditched windows. I know the ubuntu machine is probably unaffected but I'm worried about my mac.
I've been to TF within the last week and seen the maintenance page up today.
