very conspiratorial, but I will grant you a rational chain of incentivesThe free press are easy to control. They all have different bias, which gives them all a different use. You want a story about milk on the front page, you tell the farming orientated paper that you like. Not the one that comes to open invite conferences and asks the difficult questions. You give them nothing, while elevating their competitors. With leaks, and inside scoops, if you must engineer them. You have unexpected public releases, where some papers get told in time, and others don't have chance to get there. If the press want enough news to stay afloat, they can't rock the boat. They want their photographers at closed functions, they need clearance they can't demand.
There is a free press. Free to find something else to do.
Egypt don't want them. The only person that likes immigration, is the immigrant.
Trump wants Greenland. He will accept Russia taking land, and Israel, to pave the way.
He spoke to Putin weeks ago, but not what we can hear. His offer was letting Putin take what he wants, at the cost of not selling the EU fuel until Trumps got what he wants. His sights are also set on land acquisition, and has made it clear Greenland is wanted, with no red lines spoke of. He don't have the Ukraine in his orbit, and Putins profits from the EU are worth giving up, for a bit.
Trump will supply the EU, then use that and nato as leverage for the EU to find Greenland suddenly less important. He may even have Putin supply a little pressure on Denmark, about nato's importance to them, if not simply how fuel security effects a cold country.
Later, After the land seizures of both, they can look again at oil supply. How Putin can have the Ukraine, and then squeeze everyone with high priced oil, to pay for it. While the US can also jack up the oil prices, in that global price fixing they don't even hide from us.
This is why Putin says Trump is a clever man. They can both get what they want, and exit the situation with higher oil revenue.
