See what they have at the hydro shop, its important that its already washed and hopefully buffered. Otherwise you have to rinse and check ec then soak it in nutrients for a week. A lot of the loose bagged stuff is but some isn't. Canna brand bricks are probably the cheapest and everyone swears by the bag stuff. The kind I have isn't buffered and it causes problems until it stabilises.
so are you comparing 800 LED to a 1K HPS??DJXXYa but ive got my final yield numbers on the led and it sucks. In a tray like that i shoulda been close to 2p if not over under a 1k. With the led i was at 9z, 3g.
Happy frog has nutrients in it. Ive ran the fox farm original soil before and it was like promix. I liked it till i got a bag full of bugs. Ever since then it's been promix. The local hydro store probably has promix...the coco i have is the canna bricks and are a pain to break up to fill pots...
Kizane, the fox farm light warrior would work fine for your situation. Its made for starting seeds and has no nutrients.
i see your point.....DJXXBut with how many lights you run to get 1k of energy useage are you pulling more than you would with a 1k? For me to equal what i would pull with a 1k i would need at least 3 of the big eye 8s at 500$ a piece and running 1200 watts to me its not cost effective in my situation.especially when the yield doesnt meet my standard imo.
