is there a part of that bill u dont like? I think it address many of the gray area issues and would be a benefit with 19

Oh, I LOVE it!! But Politicians, who will be responsible for this...well, they are going to play it safe, I think-- But hey, it might go the other way...and the Public could start crying for clarification...then they would be inclined to act quickly--
But I kinda think it might stall out for a minute--

I like that fact that we had nothing to do with its language and improves some major gray areas. I have not read anything in it that would stop me from voting it in but I'm not a politician

Yeah...we will not be voting on this...they will-- Purely Legislative--
I think it, or something similar will for sure be implemented...but it will remain to be seen, how quickly--

ASA ( Americans Safe Access) helps develop these bills, which of course gets changed along the way, to appeal to the broader audience.

not for me. Prop 215 compliant, for me this would be a step backward.

were not talking about carrying more for personal use, we are talking about what im allowed to posses in my home. Apparently according you guys, under this bill, if im not growing marijuana, im only allowed to possess 1 ounce in my home. that is a joke, sorry.

Somebody would have to find it first. And I doubt prop 19 clearly says you have to be growing. I think it says you can keep what you harvest. Most people don't grow 12 months a year. Have some grow supplies around the house if your that concerned.

I dont want to pay 100$ every year for the rest of my life to posses enough marijuana to keep myself happy.

heres the bottom line- 1 ounce limit= bullshit.

spin it anyway you like, but its bullshit.

regardless, Ill most likely vote yes in November; however, that doesn't mean I like the bill.

In case you didn't know, a court case has been decided that says renewals are NOT LEGALLY required. Only need one for access to a dispensary. If you grow your own, you never, ever need to renew. I have showed my expired rec to police for years, no problems, but this case in 2008 helped:
People v. Windus

(2008): The Court of Appeal for the Second Appellate District held that the trial court improperly denied a medical marijuana defense to the defendant. The court held that the defendant's medical marijuana recommendation did not expire, even though the doctor who issued it required yearly evaluations. The court further held that patients are not bound by the quantities specified in SB 420, but may possess an amount of marijuana that is consistent with their personal medical use. ABX6-9 has a good chance of passing BEFORE Nov 2nd. Our legislators generally believe that Cannabis will be legalized soon, and believe it is their responsibility to ensure that they have planned for this accordingly.

ASA didn't have shit to do with ABX69. Don't give those hypocrital fuckers any credit they didn't earn. Seriously they were the ones who keep trying to derail People V Kelly and the other cases that said plant and weight limits were unconsitutional. Hell they are the ones that went to all the different cities in California last year to get all the damn moratoriums and ordinances in place.

Under the US constitution, there is no authority for the federal government to impose laws that address moral issues. The use or abuse of substances by citizens is not supposed to be a federal concern. Moral issues of behavior were to be addressed by the states or lower governing bodies. The reasoning was that the federal government was only given jurisdiction over national defense and foreign relations. Citizens could then choose the morality they desired at a local level. Our federal government has overstepped its' boundaries in many areas, but morality is one that should never be addressed. This is the reason for many legal disputes on issues such as abortion, gay marriage, health, etc.

The biggest problem with cannabis is not abuse, it's the unnecessary and illegal control the federal government has imposed on the citizens of this nation concerning it.

i very well could be wrong with that. but ASA has helped a lot of counties in california adopt things to protect patients. including but not limitied to Medndo, humbolt, and Bay Area.

Here is the part in the "Purpose" of the Prop-- It specifically exempts MMJ (Those H&S Codes are for 215)

  1. Provide easier, safer access for patients who need cannabis for medical purposes.
  2. Ensure that if a city decides not to tax and regulate the sale of cannabis, that buying and selling cannabis within that city's limits remain illegal, but that the city's citizens still have the right to possess and consume small amounts, except as permitted under Health and Safety Sections 11362.5 and 11362.7 through 11362.9.
  3. Ensure that if a city decides it does want to tax and regulate the buying and selling of cannabis (to and from adults only), that a strictly controlled legal system is implemented to oversee and regulate cultivation, distribution, and sales, and that the city will have control over how and how much cannabis can be bought and sold, except as permitted under Health and Safety Sections 11362.5 and 11362.7 through 11362.9.

Here is the Text in it's entirety--

I wonder, if one was to slowly degrade prop19 (even further), making it worse and worse; who, and for how long, would stick with it.

except for the Glen Beck part great video! Whats interesting is the comments there's a few goofy ones "stoners will forget to vote, lol" but for the most part I didn't see any no voters!
The casual smokers will pass this bill... people that can't afford the stigma of being a MMJ patient. Or no medical need for it!
