heres a pic form a VW cruise on Maui Nov 2012

it is James Hetfield of Metallica and Big Al Gouvea (RIP) as they were checking out James' buggy. theres a sweet bus in the backround so I guess it fits the thread hahaha

after the picture i followed the guys over to the bus.
james gets in the middle bench and starts telling us "I learned how to drive in one of these"
that was pretty cool day...

Really nice memories attached to the entire product line for me. Learned to drive in my grandfather's Karmann ghia. Pop never bought anything but VWs, square backs were what he chose. My own first car was a 63 beetle.
