IC, I'm trying to set up a double stacked lamp holder and I can't figure out where you are connecting the ground in your tutorial. I see it disconnected in one picture, then it's just inside the socket in the next. The only spot I see to connect it would be to the screws holding the ceramic socket to the metal base, but I cannot seem to get the ground securely attached to those screws. Any tips?

Well I ended up just jerry rigging my own with lots of pieces taken from your build IC. Same lengths of PVC and same design. I just got creative with the zip ties to suit my mogul socket.

I measured my plants and decided 14" was almost the perfect height so I ran with it.

Thanks for the tutorial!

Nice as long as shes stable. I did mine a little different. first I use the cord and mogul set that costs about $30 from the hydro stores. It has holes in the metal casing surrounding the mogul. I just use pvc t's to make a cradle to slide the mogul and cord thru. Its pretty snug then I zip tie it thru those holes in the metal casing. Then I add more t's to build out a frame and legs. It takes more t's but I didn't have the cross piece on hand that ic uses.

If you did not use UV safe zip ties they make break later. With that type of light you can take the bottom off and get a plate that the nipple will thread into. Then follow the direction to finish from there. Then you could adjust the height by changing the nipple length.

Not really I had to slow down to get rid of some mites. To many plants in flower that I could not treat. So I just puts some in flower a couple days ago. First since May 14. Had to reduce the amount of plants so I could get them all. No mites now.

That and I broke my key board on my desktop. Spilled soda on it. Keys were sticky, sucked bad. That is were I post my pictures. Hard to do on my tablet.

What kind of fan have u been running lately ic. Ive been testing different sizes and speeds. Havent really dialed in what I like best. Ive got the 20" high velocity one for garages and even on low it beats the leaves up pretty good. Then ive tried the 20" plastic wind tunnels, they offer a lower speed. So far they are ok. Then I tried the 14" high velocity garage fan and on low its ok cause it doesn't spread out as much as the 20". And I have the 14" version of the black Honeywell that is prob my favorite cause it has about the right speed not to mess with the leaves but offers a little more than the 8" black honeywells. Of course my room design is to have my exhaust/circulating fans on the sides of the room and not directly above. Man I think I have asked this before but since I wrote all this shit out ill let it stand. Have u got a favorite? What size and velocity are u running for ur set up, and where is ur exhaust/circulating fan set up at.

I run the honey wells or the knock offs. I get them at Menards for ten to twelve dollars.

If you are beating up you leaves turn it to the lowest setting. This is the best as it does not bounce the heat all over the room.

If you are still beating up the leaves put a eight inch to six inch duct reducer on it to correct it more in a collum towards t he bulbs.

My intakes are down within a foot of the floor in a back corner of the room. My exhuasts are as close to above the lights as I can get. I try to put them on the opposite side off the lights that the intake is on. This is to correct the air towards the bulbs a little more.

So ur rockin the little 8" or 9" ones? If that's correct maybe I need to revisit them to see if I like them best as they were what I started with.

From my little experience with vert i have also noticed that the oscilating fan being at the lowest speed is best. Especially if you have your oscilating fan blowing directly to your carbon filter-exhaust fan combo. It competes with using a cooltube easily! (not that i would use cooltubes with vert, been there done that, did not like the results).

Inspirational thread to say the least Ic! Can't thank you enough!
