And you did it very well too!
This is what my room will look like when it grows up, lol.

Haha some times I complain that my grow room is to small being only 5 X 7. Hell my walk in closet is bigger. Then I see yours which is smaller than mine and more like a fricking hallway and I have to think damn I got half the USA compared to you.

ic I remember when you first posted, very few people can take advice and put it to practical use the way you have in a very short time, no one grows rope like you do:biggrin:

IC i had a question for ya regarding Jacks....do you get much of a PH fluctuation when using a res? I ph to 5.8 and a few days later its around 6.4......nothing drastic, but was just curious

I don't use a res. I mix and send it to the coco. Can't remember what it did when I set this up with the blumats. Sorry.

Ichabod, when you train to screen and put in flower how much taller do they stretch? I know it's strain dependent but do they stretch more in height or more towards the bulb?

They do both.

I do not move my lights up like some do. This will cause the plant to get taller. I don't want more height to my plants and instead prefer them to grow towards the light.

The problem is then that they will grow into the light and burn. Also the racks will get front heavy and possibly fall into the center. To combat the racks falling in I use the piece pictured below to hold the racks back. It is on post 34 of this thread as well.

To stop them from burning I just tie them back when needed. I tie them back sparingly because I have crossing light patterns from two bulbs to combat the light being blocked from leaning into the light. When I tie them back it can take some of the best buds and push them into the canopy. Sometimes if you are gentle, you can bend them back out toward the light but that is strain dependant. Some will snap.

I also try to stay with plants that are a mix of indica and sativa. I want them to stretch but not to much that they are a nightmare of work tying them back. I generally want a plant that will stretch about 12-14 inches toward the light. Intense light will slow down the stretch were as weak light will cause them to stretch and be floppy. The only way to tell is run your plant and find out which works best with your set up.

My veg is empty right now because I am redoing it.

It is nothing fancy just a shelf with two bare bulbs down the center.I raise the plants to the shelf when I want them to fill in and put them on the floor to cause them to stretch. Has no walls just out in the basement.
