The smoke is one of my favorites, which is no surprise since my ECSD is still my top favorite. It has a very sweet smell that you can taste if smoked in a joint, or clean pipe...
The high is a mix, just like the genetics. It is a good mix of cerebral, and body, and the most insane munchies... My GF curses at me when I make her smoke it...

The standard I run, 2 foot by 4 foot. But these ran about 6 inches past the tops so 2 foot by 4.5 foot.

These plants had it hard though. These are the ones I treated for mites. Then my temps went to 110 degrees a couple times when my breaker for my AC went bad.

They are OK but could be better. I had to take them down at 68 and 69 days because I found a bud with bud rot. The only dam bud so far too. I expect to get 36 plus from these four.

The other two that were on this wheel were a the Jedi Kush that I lost at least half of but got 3.75 from, and a Blue Berry OG that was 7. So about 3 pounds from that wheel.

I know it could have been more and better quality. Kind of bummed.

I can definitely see how one USD could pull that weight. My screens are similarly sized, but they were only 2/3 full at best since I only vegged for 2 weeks due to time constraints. I still pulled .87 gpw, and should have done 1.25 if my screen was full.
I also experienced my first instance of bud rot with the USD last time. It was only one small piece of a cola, maybe a couple of grams at best.

Josey...I think the USD could be better than most OG's dependent on grower skill level....bobbles StrawChem D is a better yielded BUT LESS potent than the USD.....both are excellent smokes though....and if you make budder from the trim DO NOT go out to a event like Arminus did and be unable to speak to anyone lmao!

Well I just finished trimming the last USD. The first three are 29 total dry weight. All I found was one bud with bud rot out of all four plants. So I lost maybe a gram. Dang what will I do now, how will I recoup my lose?

And to top it off I had to take them down at 75-77 days of flower. I wanted them in till 84.

Some day I will be a good grower, but till then I will suffer threw like I did on this run. I had mites, bud rot, and my AC went out like 5 times and the temps went to 110 plus. Next time the buds will be better and I won't fry the heck out of one plant and have to throw 1/2 or more out.

Yes but it could be better. I freaked out because I found a bud with bud rot.

Still it was 0.85 GPW for those who track it. I usually get about 0.75 GPW. Better then average for me.

And your room is look great. How much you expecting in there?

I have faith in the cut because of the people i got it from. I can't honestly say what I'm expecting though. When I'm dialed I expect to get 1.5-2 per plant.

Yes sometimes I freak out at nothing. Amazing at what the lose of month's of work and a few thousand dollars will do huh.

Most of my porblem stem from one thing though. Mega yields.

I have the ECSD, not an IBL, she is capable of filling a 4'x4' room by itself. Not the stacking cola type, but lots of rock hard golf balls in my experience with her so far...

Thanks for all the info. That was exactly what I was looking for. Trying to figure out how I can arrange 2 flip rooms in an 11x7 area. The only issue being my entrance is on the short (7ft side). I am thinking I will be limited to 2 4x4 rooms which leaves a 3ft wide L-shape in which to get access to everything. Environment will be controlled from outside the 11x7 area. I could also go the easy route and do an 11x6 stadium but I really want at least 2 rooms so I can run some 12-14 week sativas in one for myself.

You could do 5x5

1 have 2 5x5 rooms in a 8x11 room...works ok..i have 2 flowering rooms and a veg area also all in this 8x11 room. Just have to have imagination ...i ran a 4x9 vert stadium in the same room b4 converting....

I took picture tonight but I may not get them up till Monday. I am going out of town and still have a lot to do.

I have a fan I have to change tonight because of a bad bearing. I don't want it to stop while I am gone. I also have two plants to tie to screens tonight. Got to mix a bunch of nutes for my watering guy while I am gone. Need to write out everything I need him to do as well. And a few other things as well.

The USD came out at 37 oz. I have gotten rid of 25 of that yesterday and today. So back in safe numbers.

how long do you veg these guys for (as an estimate) to fill a screen? could I veg them vert?

I've been looking at potential setups: as far as I can tell assuming you veg for 2 months you get ~30oz from 4 months total per plant... vs heaths godly 2 months for ~40oz with flooded tubes.

same-ish square footage... yours is easier to maintain less to go wrong and has lower plant counts (if I went soil based.. I would avoid the penalty of having a hydro plant in my country).

so I think I should setup a few rings ala Ichy.

what do you reckon?

Trewarin as I understand it in certain states of our country, using anything other than dirt as a medium indoors or out counts as hydroponics. Therefore attracts the higher penalties if there are 5 or more. I poured over my states legislation before I popped my 1st seed.

I was trying to run only 4plants in coco. (2clones & 2 flower only at all times). because if you have 5 or more you in anything other than dirt outside are deemed commercial and charged accordingly. But I just couldnt pull enough for my own use comfortably with 2 plants. So fuck it I said, I am now running 6 plants with 2x600w's and I think I will only obtain slightly more as 2 plants as a scrog.(28days to go)

I am sure its me fucking it up in the trimming & training somewhere, but its doing my noggin in. I cant even achieve .5 gpw growing vertical with perfect conditions.

I need a vert mentor, if any of the pros would care to help & take on a padwan pls PM me.

I don't keep track of how long but this is a rough estimate.

I clone them and keep them under weak floro's for 2-4 weeks. This builds the roots. This also varies as to how much room I have in my veg area.

Then they go into the veg area. The time here varies also. Some times a month and some times up to 3. It just depends on what I need. If I need to speed up the growth I water more. Some times 3 or 4 times a day. I grow in coco and this can really speed up the veg. If I don't need them I may water every other day and this slows them down.

The time is really dependent on the strain. If I have a plant that stays short I veg longer to fill my screen and it may take 8-9 weeks. If I have a longer flowering and stretchy strain I run it less time in veg. This may be only 4 weeks.

Truthfully you just have to run the strain you like and see how it does. Like DHF says you have to dial in your strain to get the best out of it. The best way to do this is ask other or run it yourself and find out. I find that no one around me grows vert and I have to rely on this forum to get the best info I can. Be advised that the info you get here may or may not be the same genetics you are running. Just look at my thread I call one strain three diffent names before I got it right.

Haha welcome to vert. Once you figure out what to trim you will be the guru. Still 0.5 gpw is better than some here.

As far a mentor goes I think you would be better without one. There are so many good growers here willing to answer questions I believe you will get faster answers if you just post it to have it answered here on the forums. I have seen so many people PM a person and get good advise from them as well.

Still it does not hurt if you want one to post for one.

Start a grow log here in the vert forum. Lots of us around to point you in the right direction. Explain your setup in as much detail as possible (equipment, strain, room size, fans, controler, co2 burner, cfm of fans used, intake/exhaust or sealed. etc) and what your goals for production are (how much do you need to crop out?). Any limitations you have (i.e plant numbers) Aside from that the best thing you can do is read all the stickies, then click the "rating" button on the vert subforum and read all the 5 star threads, 4 star, and so on. Almost anything you could want to know about growing is somewhere on this site.

wow thanks guys. I will start my own thread for sure. i think it may too late to make any differnce to my current grow. But just to clarify tho.
i am on my 6th grow. The 1st four were with 2plants & a 600w in scrog. the best I got was 10oz with heaps of veg time in all.

Last grow I tried vert with 2 plants & 600w + 400w stacked and vegged for about 2mths in all. (1mth under 250w cfl & 4weeks 600w+400w)
I got 364grams (13oz), hence the doing my noggin in bit and needing some help.
Now I am running 2x600w stacked in a cooltube with 6 plants & I reckon I may not even hit 13oz on this grow!!! I just dont get it. I love the concept of vert, I love watching them grow in vert. I have read so much stuff on here, I thought I really did my research, but alas I am but a newbie in the end.


So, yes I need some help & I need to start my own thread asap.
Just one thing holding me back from starting my own thread, can someone pls reccomend a safe image hosting site, and how do I remove my info from the pics? I posted pics a couple of pages back & it seems the data is still attached.

Host your pics right here dorkus. Holland doesn't allow the feds access to their servers. If you are running windows 7 all you need to do is right click on the picture, click properties, click the details tab, click remove properties and personal information. If you are using a different version of windows you can use a free program that will also remove exif data. There's a thread on here somewhere that tells you how, use the search function. Start a new thread to ask any further questions. I'm sure ich doesn't want us mudding up his thread with this sort of thing.
