hum , yukon , maybe i got them on a too strong Mg regime , with my sea algae , taht the seed shell´s are a bit strong/hard to sprout for the little one´s , so let them some days longer and in case (+5-7 days ) break their shell at the point where the tap generally grows out ... , with this technique i got some real old beans to germ ok ...

today i´m gonna post some pix of the Vh´s

So , for now its a good m/f ratio with 1 male identified , 4 fem´s and one a bit behind in stretching as i didnt see that it was shaded for the first 7 days from a fan leaf of my Blockhead´s ...

here´s the male ... @ 12 days

and his ballz ;)

looking good Fj i am lurking in all my normal threads even if i am not posting i am near harvest soon i am working on clearing space for all my seeds i have planted and grown out so i can run your venom heads again and some of the TFB's along side a few other testers...

i will take a your advice on the seeds when germing and i hope to get em to germ they have been in the fridge for sometime so we will see if that helps...

2nd male identified ... female/male ratio is 4/2 , so its good , for being popped and grown under hps -
day 14 : the fem´s are slowing down their stretch now , the mainstem gets thicker , is hollow and looks like a telescope-tri pod , LOL i know its not a good comparison ;) im heavy buzzed on bubble made from trim from last 6 month :headbange

for me it seems that this cross carries the weak branch trait of my Venomberry99 , maybe we have to tie them if its nessesary ... , we´ll see

have fun guys

Fj

PS: @ yukon/dro , drop me a pm if there´s a prob with germing , ill replace them in no time ;)

Just a small update. 12 out of 14 beans sprouted and are doing good. 2 beans never did anything in the papertowel so I threw them away. The 12 sprouts all stretched like crazy under the fluros. 4 or 5 started to lay to the side. Im moving them under 175w MH. They should start to perk up again in the next few days. All of them are pretty much just starting their second set of leaves now. updated pictures to come in the next few days.

The 2 that didnt sprout had really hard shells. I tried to crack them between my fingernail and a countertop and couldnt crack them.

thats a good ratio for fresh beans , scuba ;) ... they will take off in growth after rooted through the pot -
my Vh´s were splitted from the bigger and older one´s (other strains) and got a table for themself , with some Vcb´s and some Kali´s ... so its not crowded anymore ...

the 4 big one´s are Vh @ day 16 , it seems that the stretch finally stopped ... all stretched to the 3 - 4 x the size as on day 1 flowering , with 2 prunings of the lowest branch pairs ... gave them a little extra veg to the bloom nutes to ensure no N deficiency whilst/after stretching ...

PS:the right one in the back , was the one slower with showing gender ... , its a male ... so as i write this he´s already culled , sorry peopz .. back to f/m ratio 3/3 ...

Lookin sweet fj, so I guess we can expect to see a 3-4x stretch if not vegged for very long?

The ladies look nice and healthy, hope I get a few females in this first small initial run. Still workin' on the camera situation, funds are tight for right now so definately gonna have to borrow one. The leaves are a nice and fat indica, can't wait to see what they do, will hopefully be able to sex them in 3 weeks or so :smoker:

yeah they stretch heavy in comparison to my Bh´s that were used as mom´s .. ( the swt pheno has left my house 3 weeks ago ...) , i induced flowering as soon as the first side branches were developed as i thought they could stretch heavy and i dont want to deal with height problems .
My Venomberry99 fem and male , both got a very heavy stretch [putting a rooted clone in 4L soil > directly 12/12 finishes after 55-60 days @ 70- 90 cm , depending on how much you prune the lower branches ]

here´s a single pic of a Venomhead , seems to be from the #9 mom , as i can smell a light lemon/fuel undertone with a sharp rotten/berry that seems to be getting very pungent ;)

FJ , Looking nice :) I hope mine look half as good

Here is some more pictures. They are starting to take off. Will be transplanting into 1 gallon pots in the next week, along with their first feeding of nutes. Some are still leaning a bit, but they are slowly starting to straighten out.

2 of them have wrinkled leaves :)

Will probably wait another 2 or 3 weeks before more pictures. Right around the time I hope to take some clones.

I pumped up Venomhead´s nute regime to 4 times watering with a constant nute dose and they seem to like it a lot , they started to bud up quick in the last few days ..
2 of them got still a bit taller , guess thats a mixed and a Vb99 pheno , next pix at day 30

hej hej all , thx for your kind words .... im doing my best  , j/k
Those Vh´s are really easy to maintain/grow , much easier than any of its parents ;)

i dont think that anybody will get probs with them ....

@ smoka , i hope that Vh got a mixed high from both parents , the soaring up high from the Blockhead which lasts really long and the fast coming head rush with the creeping body cruncher of the Venomberry99 + i hope that the Vb99 part pumps up the size of the bracts of Vh ... we know it all > bigger bracts equals more space for glands :headbange

and what more glands do , ha i think i dont have to tell you ;)

have fun

Fj

for now i have observed that Vh grows more elongated flower clusters as the Bh (the mom of the cross) does ... , their stigmas are very thin and long , looking like a paint brush ... Lol
