Ended up getting 5/8 of the VH's to germ and two have broke the surface; one appears to be struggling to live but we will see here in the next few days.
Will get some pictures in a couple days when the others decide to show their little heads and I get the camera back
thats ok aba , i think its , coz i sent the beans out straight after drying for ~ 10 days , no fridge at all for now , i like to dry them over a month in a dark cool place , so i insure that every bean is bone dry , so no mold can settle in once they are packed ...
5 out of 5 seeds of my Vh's ahve bloomed although though the first one took approx. 5 days whereas 3 others took 7 and the last took a whooping 8 days to germinate ^^. But hell they're as sweet as hell , they have very beautiful fractal symetric lines and the leaves forms are jost lovely, well it'd be better for me to post a pic which I'll be able to do soon after i get my sis a cam for her last 15 birthdays (loing story ^^ ) anyways look forward to it.
Fire666, still enoying the grow &__&, hope to enjoy the smoke soon too :Sasmokin:
hej all , everything is fine with my Venomhead´s ,Fire666 a good friend of mine joined the force , yesterday ... Scuba will join in some days as well making a hell of a test grow ...
I made my math today and thought about that every Vh = 50% Venomberry99 which is a stretcher like hell , so i guess all plants have to have a healthy stretch after inducing 12/12 ... I´m guessing this , coz all Venomhead´s perform much better in veg than the Blockhead , i repotted them to 4 L pots with a nice view of a fully rooted through soil cube ... ~ 14 days veg
hehe steve´s joining now ; i guess you got them in perfect condition ? !
Dont panic if they dont go right after 48h´s ; read fire´s post and lean back , i think its of the extreme freshness of the beans ... they take their time and once root ball is establish they lift off
I have the room at the moment to run all the test beans and maybe a few others. Im going to start all of them in soil and probably run clones in DWC. I cant wait to see how they turn out
growth will explode in a DWC , never seen a Vb99 hybrid in a hydro setup ...
In soil you can throw the rooted clone directly in bloom and it will finish ~ 80 - 100 cm depending on how strong the HID is and how far away it is (this is for a pure Venomberry99 ; by the way Blockhead doesnt stretch much after inducing bloom ) ; be sure to give them a good trim to concentrate its energy in the upper ~ 2/3rd´s of Venomhead .
Jep i tfound Bc´s cross anywere , cant remember , its not the same , but VERY related ... I used Bh as a fem side , Bc too ; he used a pure Venomberryf2 for the pollen donor ... (or bc , did you go to f3 with the Vb´s of hazey) , for me i used a Venomberry99f1 male which is actually a BrosGrimm c99 f1 x DutchFlowers Venomberryf1.
Fj
PS:and i like to keep everything simple , so plz keep the fem @ first place in a cross ...
ex Vb99 = c99 x Vb !!!
fjällhöga, nice grow with an interesting cross. look forward to seeing how things develope in 12/12. it's always interesting watching a nice cross do it's thing.
soaked all the seeds starting yesterday. 3 out of 14 already started to show the tap root. stuck them all into papertowels now. By tomorrow I expect some will be ready to move to soil
thx gaius - its an easy to growing strain thats a fact ! it take´s more nutes than Blockhead , so its not that finicky on its regime , its rooting heavy like the Vb99 , just look @ the root pic , this pic was taken after 7 days in this pot (from 0.2l -2.2l pot) .So i think there will be no problems with all the tester´s ... I just put them packed/counted ones in the fridge ...
- scuba : thats a good sign , personally i dont like the towel method ,as i damped/cooked most beans with it . i put my Vh´s just in presoaked mini propergators filled with soil , after 5 days 75% were above the soil .... and scuba be sure to keep the medium even moist , that the root growth can explode ! i didnt have troubles with overwatering .... If you got height issues (like me .... , can only have max 100 cm tall plants) throw them in 12/12 @ 30 cm /1 ft , trim the lower branches to encourage stretching and focusing of the energy of the upper ones .
10 out of 14 showing tap roots now, going to put them the 10 in soil today, will leave the last 4 in the paper towel for another 24 hours. Looks good sofar, I bet most germinate for me
