Hi Afghanica hope u r well, heres some leaf pics of one of my 'Backtooth' girls(Barneys x SwtTooth1) x (SwtTooth1 x SwtTooth3). Shes only in early bloom at the mo but has shown this variegation for a few weeks now....Luck'n'Lumems JBo ;]
magnificent, through and through!
many props to you and thank you for sharing! Hope it smokes even better than it looks, all 3 phenos appear quite tantalizing. Be sure to tell us which plant is your favorite.
Over the years I've seen some minor variegation (half yellow/white and green leaf blades, but more often speckles over the whole leaf), usually it was just on a few leaves and they never finished flowering with any variegation..
here's my story about a current example (that was grown outdoors, in pots)
I grew a seedling late last Fall that showed no variegation, this plant was very slow to trigger into flowering mode, grew very slow and I had to cut it down in late April as it was definitely not going to complete flowering (with the increasing photoperiod of Spring/Summer)...actually it was not even close to finishing.
I revegged this plant (as I sometimes do with late Winter planted seedling that I harvest before May) and now it is in early flowering and showing blades of white/green variegation as well as speckles on some leaves on one side of the main branch in the top 25% of the plant, actually the plant was cut back to grow two main branches and both have the same one side variegation .
Not sure of the lineage of this seedling, though it's most likely the result of a Zamal and or Neville's Haze crossed with a faster variety eg a C99 or C99/Zamal+NH....or something like that lol
For decades I labeled every single plant I grew, but for the past few years I haven't.....partly as I'm a slack bastard and partly to help me judge plants purely for their quality...I like growing this way.
I don't usually take clones, but I did with this variegated one (as with most revegged plants, there's lots of potential cuts) a week or so ago, but the cut I took was down low and there is no variegation. It might root, but it's difficult to clone here with temps in high 90's F or 30's C every day for the next 3 or 4 months.
