vaportek/vaportronic scent

Yeah... I hear you. For whatever it's worth I think she was just trying to make a point about the composition of the discs, without being a salesperson. I understood the difference of being a neutralizer and a fragrance that they attempted to explain. The buzz words were "Eradicate" and "Neutralize" and "Fragrance."

I don't benefit if you buy vanilla or classic jagermeister upchuck. (lol, growlady was bitching about the smell last night and that's what she used to describe it...)

Since I carbon scrub anyway this is really just for smoking/drying as is does get quite pungent in here. That being said, any scent would work in my situation.

Vaportronic Update....

Well, I am using the vaportronic with the lemon scented discs. The plants that I am growing started putting out their strong flowering scent about 3 weeks ago. My house smells like lemons....very skunky lemons. It smells like I am growing a lemony smelling strain of skunky cannabis.

Someone wrote in a previous post that they had called up the Vaportek customer service to inquire about the scent choices they had, and the customer service rep said the only scent that did more than mask the offending odors (well, not offensive in this case!) was their classic neutral scent. I think that might be correct, going by what I am now experiencing.

Take note, I would advise calling the customer service at Vaportek and asking them about this, and if you don't want to do that then I would recommend that you choose the classic neutral unless you want the skunk undertones to be hanging around.

Yea I ordered classic neutral only because of rez's recommendation,I never heard of it before that.I'm happy with it,though I'm only getting 60-70 days out of a 120 day cart.

When my plants hung to dry from my latest harvest a few weeks ago I needed to throw another disc in the vaportronic totaling two classic neutral. I have the setting on default, where the "line" is on the unit.

It does indeed smell like the discs, not the cannabis drying.

Out of the samples we loved cherry and orchard the best, but they are only fragrances, not neutralizers.

I'm actually thinking about another vaportronic. One for the grow room and one for the chilling area.

I don't have a vaportek product, but really am considering... I have run O-zone in the past and then went to scrubbing.... I run a 737 canfan 8" with filter and that also cools 4 600w HPS.... I want to incorporate some other odor masking, neutralizing... A-lot of people speak of either classic to neutralize, or a fragrance to mask... well if the unit can hold more than one disk/membrane... would it be possible to run say a 2-1 ratio 2 classic to 1 fragrance... so you'd still get the neutralizing + the added fragrance for all of the liquorice haters.... ??? Opinions???

This time I got about 70 days from a120 neutral cart, definately gotta change it this morning.Except for more replacement costs than anticipated I'm totally happy with my results from it.

Hey Berry, the place them sells them around me is about 40 minutes away from my house. It's an industrial supply store, cleaning products, floor cleaners/polishers, paper products, etc. They only sell the Neutral scent. The Vaportronic can hold up to 5 of these discs, making it very versitile from a cabinet grow to it's max treated space of 10,000sq ft.
you will have no problem combining 2 neutral and one fragrant if your supplier has them both, but be prepared to buy a 12 pack of each for $24 each. that's how they sell them.

SubnoizeKid---> THanks.... I'll have to check and see if I can find them here locally... otherwise I will order them... Then I'll give you'll heads up, if the combination of Origional + 'Scent' is palatable.....

Hey Berry...

If I was you, I would first just try the classic neutral scent. From the description given by those who have used it, it seems that if you dial it in correctly it doesn't even smell that much...and who knows, if the smell stays minimal, you might not mind it at all. The sample that I received from vaportek didn't smell that bad at all...much like the gum Big Red.

If you start trying to combine different scents, you are going to have a real crap shoot. I think you will be lucky if you combine any two scents and get a result that is acceptable.

I bought the vaportek optimum 4000 from colker janitorial and it was right around $150. I asked for the $99 price and they said they don't think they ever sold them for that price.

were the sample scents the small cartridges that fit in the vaportronic?
