I was drinking yeungling for years. I tend to switch it up different times of the season. Found Stella Artois so Ive been on a stella kick the last month or so. Look for a good IPA to drink on this fall, any suggestions

Can't go wrong with Founders or Stone.

I'm no beer snob, but comparing Bud, Miller, Coors, to something like Stone, Founders, or Smuttynose, is like comparing commercial smoke to OG or Chem.

There IS a BIG difference. :tiphat:

I agree 100%. I used to drink Bud too until I tasted a real beer. 99% of the ppl in my area drink bud, or busch.. I cant even keep a budweiser in my mouth long enuff to swallow anymore. Shits horrid. Makes me wonder how its so popular! I cant even get an import beer at half the bars around here. Id like to try some of the IPAs that Co has to offer. Been hearing a lot of good things

Here ya go REV, Stone IPA, Stone Ruination IPA, Smuttynose Finest kind IPA, Pliny the Younger, Pliny the Elder,Bell's Hopslam, The Alchemist's Heady Topper, Sierra Nevada's Torpedo IPA, Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA.

That's a good start.

Ommegang Abbey Ale is an american belgian style beer made in Cooperstown NY and is the next best thing to Duvel.
Duvel Moortgart owns this company so it is not 100% US business but nonetheless it is good.

Sounds great. Duvel is one of my all time favourites. I love that clean yeasty goodness. I'll look out for this Ommegang Abbey Ale.

Peace

:whee: as a düsseldorfer i like ALT beer, my favs r
füchschen, schlüssel or Bolten ALT. i also like the blonde´s like
veltins, beck´s, budweiser, heineken, grölsch, jever, früh and plenty more - there r 1 million belgium beer´s which like to get tasted...
:friends:

i don´t like the strong dark sorts, i also like mixed beers like ALT with coke or blonde´s with limonade... ya, i like beer, but truly sometimes it likes me more than i do...

...sometimes there´s to much beer, i can´t stop then,
i can easily go through plenty weeks without any drop of beer,
but sometimes when i drink i don´t know when to stop :(

The best ale/beer my lips ever tasted...hands down has got to be the Triple IPA by Russian River Brewing Company: Pliny the Younger (released in February...and only available at few places for about 2 weeks; you must plan ahead for this once a year treat). This particular ale will knock your dick (dickless-dick for you ladies) right off (not as powerful as Piraat Ale) but with 10.25% alcohol--it will set you back with a big grin (capable of making one to stroke their chin while contemplating the many ways to "world peace")!

Most anything from Stone and Ballast Point breweries are top shelf, and what you will see when you open my fridge...as long as it says "IPA", I like! Double IPA...I double like!

I could drink PBR all day and still play, but i like Mendocino's County's beer like Red Tail, Eye Of The Hawk and Blue Heron. Boont is good as well, like me some Lagunitas Ipa also

Abbey Ale is a darker/red dubbel style ale, Duvel is a golden belgian pale. I've had both before and don't really see the similarities.

Now, Ommegang's Gnomegang, and Duvel, that's a more similar style to each other.

Grabbed a few of these recently, and Petrus blonde is now my new favourite Belgian beer.
