I like to do it before they go into bud, then just clean them up later as needed.

I cleaned them up a little bit about a week before i threw em into flowering. Now in their 3rd day i think ill hold off until budset then clean up what i can....
didnt really think this out too well, as the plants in the back are hard to reach let alone get in there to clean up the bottoms.
I clean them up prior to budding, so the energy goes to the buds instead, and so they arent shocked in bud.
Otherwise, you have to slither in there like a snake on your belly between the plants, and pick off premature horse feathers and such. No fun. Ive done that before., It sucks

Im puffin GG4. Im on a break from transplanting GG4s and OGMangos into 5 gallon pots and firing up the bud tent, I have 4 more pots to fill, then set the timer, and crank up the light.
Im smokin with ya Doc. Mines is some holy grail kush though. Damn tasty

I have some burgundy soaked Lamb tips on the shish kebobs with mushrooms, spanish onions, and artichoke hearts.
They are on the grill right now. Gonna serve them over buttered ans seasoned Jasmine rice

Question, I have heard 2 schools of thought on this. Is it better to water a little bit, more often, keeping the medium a consistent mostiure level; or to let the medium dry out before watering?
I have heard In organic growing it's better to NOT have a wet/dry cycle..?.
But my plants always look the healthiest (with the leaves pointing almost straight up in the air) when the medium is really dry, right before I water/feed.
I know unc does a little bit everyday and that works good for him. (I also know that unc's environment is much different than mine, I dunno if that matters for this question
)

Pappy I for the life of me cannot grow in soil/peat mixes. I would be of no help. In coco it's moist moist moist.
Maybe thats my problem in soil, I always tried wet dry wet dry.

Pappy- I prefer to dowse every few days whenever it dries enough to where the soil shrinks/separates from edge of pot. 2 x 10 second pours per pot out of hand-waterer spout jug. 1/3 gallon or so per 5 gal pot with 3-4 ft tall flowering plants. Brix I was told is higher in dryer soil conditions. Try to time it as close to wilting as possible I thought. Almost thirsty plants I believe are the most vigorous.
I use a water meter( Water Wizard) and water when the moisture level drops to a certain number I watch (3). Then I water them with at least 10% water /soil. I fertilize almost every watering, except the last few weeks

I use ROLS.... In my experience, getting the soil too dry can be harmful to your microherd... scale of 1-10 you wanna stay between 2-8 fluctuating.... idea is, much like a lung, to allow o2 and h2o to cycle... too much h2o can cause anaerobes to take over in soil.... aerobic microbes may be STRONGER.... but the anaerobes multiply at a much faster rate...
