UK Growers thread

macmiddle - growing outdors can get you some massive plants and big yeilds in this country although not as big as the US. I've done it for the past few yeras but I'm not this year. My main roblem was security, most of them got ripped, some early some quite late. A fellow grower I know does a crop each year outdoors, I think his last was 6 or 7 plants and around 60 - 65oz total yeild. his plants were getting on for 9ft tall by harvest. Min problem in the uk is etting strain that perform well and finish in time. Passion #1 does well outdoors but then again its not the best smoke.

I'd say in the UK outdoor growing is more for fun, it is nice to have massive ganja plants all around you sat in the bright sunshine but the bud ain't the best.

Hi, all!

Just noticed this thread, thought I'd weave my way in. Am very much on the micro side of growing but started out in 1994 so, well, been going for a while (with a bit of a gap in the middle). Have grown alot of strains (mostly older ones) so if want any advice on picking a strain, especially for hydro, happy to oblige.

Am currently growing some caramella and kc33 outside and about to clone some of the outside caramella for my over -winter indoor grow.

A mate and I did an "early pearl" grow outside in London town last year which went very well (he is still smoking his share, the swine). I can recommend the strain because though it isn't knocklout strong, it tastes great and has a nice "up" high.

I guess you have all heard about that huge bust in the chicken factory. If not, check out the video http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7548457.stm

Hi there fellow UK growers

Just found this thread.

Sweet photos,
heres some of my own efforts.

plain old Blueberry with about 20 days to go.

Peace all.

Pob.
Nice one, at last, someone else with a Blueberry that looks like the one I got.
Long story but was never really sure if what I had were actually Blueberry's. Your pics look just like mine, so I think I will now christen them properly with their own names :)

Limey, this is why i grow my own, no love given to those plants at all... still sad to see them being cut like that.

With you there, thunderpob! It looked like a very commercial grow, though I was interested to hear the reporter say that these plants had already been harvested once and therefore, I guess, rejuvenated.

Please keep your fingers crossed for an Indian summer (to give our outdoors plants a chance) and for my clones, which I am praying will root happily and soon.

I'm off to Morocco again next month, should have some reports after that...

all the best!

Limey - all fingers and toes crossed for a nice bit of sun to make the buds swell nicely. I didn't notice the bit about the plants having rejuvenated so at least the plants were well cared for.

DaveMR - i always name my plants as i am a firm believer in talking up to my plants, don't know if it works or not but it makes me feel better!! heres another shot for you, this particular bud is drying at the moment (need a little taster)

Got offered something earlier, was promised it was cheese (like that's something new. Thought it was too much of a coincidence after my post earlier but hell it smells distinctly cheesey. First henry I bought in over a year but as usual damp and sweaty in a bag.

It got caned as was at a mates and no one had anything so gonna try and get another so i can dry it properly. I'd like to grow it pretty bad but another dry henry should let me know if its something special hopefully.

3 out of 3 strawberry diesels so far, grr
