The LGA is so small,, with the exception of a few honary members we are all local growers (i.e. the LGA). So the emphasis must be on other groups forming their own alliances in a similar way,, by building on the positives and making things happen

Lots of local clubs,, doing their own thing independently can happily exist together in the UK,,, much easier than a large scale organisation with all the in-fighting that it would entail

It's an on-growing (overgrowing) process...

Will do LLP been busy offline for a few days but getting some signs of sex from the cuts I took of the "pot lucks" and will start flowering originals in a few weeks when I'm sure`of males(only looks like 3 boys at the mo but theyre all stinky and different!).

ICMAg is still the BEST place to gain genetic information specific to cannabis IMO. Most of the herbalists we know from OG/IC aren't in the UK... and we sure learn as much from 'the kid in the cabin' as we do from 'the farmer in the field'... if ya know what I's saying? :wink:

Unfortunately the UK scene has been divided for some time,, by a load of premadonnas within the industry itself!! So it is our role to reverse the trend by sending these numpties back to mumbo-rumbo land (or wherever it is they think they come from) and re-uniting UK growers back onto the same team,, without delay

I don't have much new info on my Mystery Strain, except that I spoke with the guy how hoards the original cut - he's always claimed a complete lack of interest in its origins - partly down to memory, and partly as he thinks a lot of strain chat is ridiculous - he just grows that and he's happy.

But I mentioned the possibility of it maybe being something like Shiva Skunk, and he perked up a bit - not that it definitely was, but the old crew he used to grow with did have that strain. But apparently whatever it is came from some hairy dude in the North-East who didn't smoke, but liked to cross strains, and he would have been working with early (89-90 or before) stock, definitely.

I personally think this cut it similar to the NL X BigBud I grew, but I much prefer it - more fruity/fuel to the taste, and less narcotic. A friend is growing two right now, and she'll be chopping them in about two weeks, so I'll get photos. In the meantime, these are the only pics I have of the Mystery Strain in flower - notice the long, sativa-like budleaves:

i think it's good to record or catalogue clone only or british bred strains,
to maybe record their attributes (smell, taste, high, flowering).
and i like knowing the heritage and history of strains
but i think it's hard to rate 1 strain above another.
especially because not many people have tried all these strains.
