Thanks for clearing up the linage of those 2 was it Dj's Blueberry that was crossed to the ESB?,
Blues clone looks real nice, think your only the 2nd person i've seen post pics up of it, what do you reckon the Blues is?, old Northern Lights maybe?

Hi Mate,

Its DJ's Original Blueberry, from the very first release through Sagarmatha.

I couldn't speculate on what blues actually is, as nobody really knows. It is unique, and thats what interests me.

:yeahthats Man them blues look killa!!!

Cheers dude :joint:

I reckon the blues is a very fruity/fuely Northern Lights, possibly crossed with BigBud and/or Skunk#1. It's been around so long, and there are at least two other phenos/versions or whatever you want to call them, that it does get very confusing.

The one I've had for years - what I call Mystery Strain (aka the smelly one), is very, very similar in every respect apart from the smell, which is fruitier and less dank - more acetone than petrol. I was given a clone of NL X BB that my mate swore was from the Nirvana release, and again, it was almost identical - apart from the smell again, which was more yeasty and earthy than either of the above.

In my harvest pics thread are photos of the Mystery Strain and NL X BB for comparison. I have a blues in flower now at just over four weeks, and it's starting to reek - partly the reason I'd stopped growing all these, but I thought I'd try it just once for some bedtime smoke - I find it too narcotic, personally, but it does taste nice...:)

We've smoked a blueberry x cheese (cheese x blueberry) cut,, long time back,, from outback regions that was passed on as "Blues" ,, what made it even more confusing was that it tasted like a fruity type of Cheese :chin: End result is that the UK now runs its own strains,,, many of which are much higher in quality than most overseas would expect!

Full props to the all the UK collectives,, fam-clans, and crews that make it all happen!

Will deffo try to enter all 3 cats next year..But wish they had a Hybrid class as well as I think I could do well with my IndiSat's...thats what my best strain's are. Wanted to put original Puffz in but its neither Indi or Sat so seemed pointless.
If a few more of us enter next year though we could really Slam it!
LLP you the man,ta for tasters mate, very impressed...Your Psycho's Rocked mate, very chunky buds compared to mine,Love the Soapy tasting PK as well very oldshool flava.I won't even mention the Fromage as u don't need tellin'.

Well I am glad to hear that Hazeseeker...You are one of the most respected in our scene and if you take the plunge it will encourage the newer and less experienced peeps to work to a shared goal of proving our Buds on the world stage. I think your entering would up our UK total considerably and the more UK cuts and Nu-crosses that we enter the better in the long term...I'm already convinced that we can grow as good or better than anywhere else but now we have to prove our selection and innovation with our own lines and crosses. I beat expensive cup winning strains from big companys with strains I give away for zero.....I have tried enough stuff from different peeps in the UK scene to know that there are many with better Ganja than me but you won't know how good you are til you step up to be counted.
Who Dare's Win's Rodder's......lol. JBo:joint:

I'm definately "newer and less experienced" and I hope I can find a couple of nice selections in the many beans I've been gifted recently, with a view to entering next year. There are some interesting crosses in my fridge at the moment!

Don't know if it's too tall an order to learn to grow cup winning weed in 12 months.. we shall see.. I definately won't be entering if I don't think I'm up to scratch though.

The one weapon in my arsenal is that I should know good weed when I smoke it!

Looking at my newbie mistakes to date maybe 12 months is a little quick though.. more like 24.. 36.. 48..

Well McSnappler .....A young(not yet 20)friend of mine started growing less than 20 month's ago and I just recently smoked a tester of part of his recent Bio-Aero crop. It's his FIRST cross and its my LondonPink with a Silver Haze/Skaze Pop he selected from old seeds I gave him a while back.....He calls it 'PlatiniumPink' and to be perfectly honest as painful as it is to admit it,the cut I just tried makes my original seem rather dull now in comparison.I honestly beleive it would have beat me and a few others in the cup If it had been entered. I am not kidding it is perfectly cured delicious Mostly Sat Ganja with a clear hazey high and he's still a teen... I will get some pics when I can get back there.
Anyone with good eye and nose and some patience could get something worthy ready for next years cup.
Good Luck! JBo ;]

Reminds me I have some very interesting seeds finishing off right now - I crossed the weird '98 Blueberry f3 plant I got from a batch of seeds from British Hempire last year (pictured below) with my best 'Overflow' male - which is the Mystery Strain X Flo.

This male was the closest I could imagine getting to the original Mystery Strain in smell, shape and structure in male form, so I was really pleased to get a load of pollen from it. I haven't yet grown out a female of this, but will be doing a backcross to the Mystery Strain in the next few weeks.

The female Blueberry is very sativa, at least in bud structure and high - fluffy buds that dry light, and weird, 3-pointed leaves that look like lobster claws, but the smell is the most sublime, delightful, perfumed 'blueberry ice-cream' you can imagine, and the high is perfect - warm, up and calm.

I'm hoping the male will add some bud density, as both Flo and the Mystery Strain have rock-hard buds, and the sweetness of the smell and flavour should be off the scale. I did one branch, but the small calyxes mean that there should be a fair few to play with!

Here's the female:

Londinium, why don't you enter your hybrids in indica one year and sativa the next just like Serious Seeds did with AK47 ;-)

Over the past few years the frontiers and boundaries of cannabis culture in the UK have been pushed forward and opened up for good. As a result of the hard work of UK Collectives,, the Medi. soldiers ,, and online support from sites like ICMag :canabis:

When we were youts,, hydro-shops ,, international trade expos ,, local seed banks ,, professional UK breeders (big up Big Buddha),, and LGA Cannabis Cups (brock out) ,,,were still just a figment of our pipe-smoking imaginations. Today we take such things for granted,,, with UK growers flying back and forth with cups and seedlines under their wings like trophies. All we need now is a coffeeshop scene and some tourists can pop over and snatch a taste of some UK flavours..

Keep repping where ya living UK crew  :canabis:

EM good to see ya man, that is a plant with some aggressive looking buds..Calyxes fighting each other for space. If your buds smoke even half as good as they look then they would be Superb and from what I'm told they Are as good as they always look to me....You always seem to find the killer pheno's in the top class strain's.
I so wish you would put something in the cup next year as I think you're work is out there on its own as far as UK peeps goes....In fact I would gladly re-imburse you the cost of your entry myself if it meant we got your buds out there...lol.(I do mean it!). You Really Impress me on a regular basis mate!
ArvidB how ya doin'? Yeah I don't think Serious are the only ones guilty of that Sat to Indi swapround either but would love if I could face the other best halfway Hybrids in a comp just to satisfy my own curiosity and because I actually really like a perfect blend of both Indi and Sat myself personally,so maybe half my faves are in that kinda ballpark.:joint:
DocLeaf.. Easy mi bredren...feeling your words everytime.....Always here with inspiring lifts and boosts for Our peeps....Big up all LGA crew Raising the bar,Advising the inexperienced and spreading the pips and vibes like no others.....:woohoo:
Look at LLP's little Psycho's Sis looking all cute and un-menacing...Little do they know eh!.....No-one does the Sweet but Nasty like the UK does...We just simply got 'Da Funk' when it comes to 'Da Skunk'. JBo :joint::yoinks::abduct:

beautiful mate,
jah blessings upon your good self too.
respect!

respect also to Londinium for keepin it real in a big way, strains your keeping is preserving our heritage for sure.
man you were right about the puffs i dried. one spliff of that and i was off to bed!
the sugarpuff75 was beautiful, much nicer than the afghan cross i though. i would keep the 75 about mate, nice keeper for sure. but i haven't tried the real puffz yet so not sure what your comparing it too. the smell of the real puffz bought back some memorys though. makes me wonder where some other old school aromas ever went.......i'm on the hunt!
thanks for the compliments mate, all your tings were beatiful, the ppskaze really took me by surprise how much i liked it, a real rescue remedy/sort your head out/inspirational type weed. i'm looking forward to running any of your strains mate, you got good taste!

Londinium is damn right though, uk breadbins are growing/breeding some fine selections for sure, and maybe we need to be flexing our wares a bit more. kinda weird because showing off usually isn't the uk way really, especially when it comes to growing cannabis. but a lot of the strains we be carrying could wipe the floor with any chemdog/diesel/triplebackflipOGspinonyourhead...etc...

big up your chest uk crew, lets keep this kingdom united!

p.s. nice cross Elevator Man, i stuck it and the overflow on the british bred strains list.

In teresting thread...

In teresting thread...

Have you got any more info on the lemonade and kola?
I live in that area and have never heard of em, actaully iv never heard of 90% of the clones you mentioned there.
Aslo you got g or g-force listed there, they are two different clones g-force goes around here and i have the g cut, not the same.....

respect for the enthusiasm rick.

i've no more info on the lemonade or cola cuts personally.
but if you scan through the thread you will see where the info came from, info for all these strains has cropped up somewhere in this thread.
i have tried the cola/coca cola, very nice, does taste a little like coke.

how is the G taste and effects wise?

i heard the G clone was also nick-named G-force, but if theres another G-force out there, it would be cool to hear about it..

H

Hazeseeker

Dr D - there's a clone called 'the Dunk', supposed to be from Pukka Seeds G13 line,
maybe this is the G clone you have?,
i read a few months ago Big Buddah also used it in 1 of his newer lines,

been a couple of other crosses involving this clone: Jackie P + Jackie PSD, both made by m@rg
Jackie P = 98' Jack Herer x the Dunk clone
Jackie PSD = [Rez's Sour Diesel] x [98' Jack Herer x the Dunk clone]

both look really good, got a few of the Jackie PSD in the fridge, big up the Uk all day, look at that list of strains on the first page^^, both clones and seedlines are killer:yes:
