NL x Purple Haze used to travel the UK during the early 1990's... When cut this psychosis smells much the same (identical in fact)... not that we think Psychosis holds any purple haze in lineage,, but it probably contains the same Northern Lights genes.

The musky scent in 'Cheese' comes from the Colombian aspects in lineage IMO,, NOT from the Afghan!!!

This is totally off topic,, but Tony from Sagarmatha Seeds (jah bless lion) worked at Sensi Seed Bank during the 1990's and was subsequently the co-owner of Cerebral Seeds (with Simon). Thus we'd expect Sagarmatha to have access to plenty of top quality breeding genetics,, including the ones they get sent in from over seas :wink:

Cheers for putting all the info up. I'm halfway through reading the whole thread. The Lemon Thai that was being talked about a while back rang bells for me. I am pretty sure I used to get that in Tottenham back then. We always assumed that it was imported too. There was a few really nice strains about then and reading this thread has made my mind up to grow UK strains. Right now I have a cheese X bagseed on the go. It's the nicest plant I have grown so far, by a long way, so I am going to keep hold of her. I have no idea what it was crossed with though? A m8 crossed what he said was an 'original' with a 'skunk' bagseed strain.

An educated guess ,, it would be from Sunlight Seeds, London Branch. This company supplied many genetics back in the day in the UK. The first x2 strains in their old catalogue are 'Northern Light' and 'Purple Haze'... which perhaps also explains the origin of the NLxP.Haze clone we used to grow.. lol

Those guys who set up in Leicester used to knock out a lot of old strains too - maybe was the same peeps? I remember one of them claiming he'd trademarked Sk#1 etc. Long time ago - hard to remember now. But when the Phototrons came out, my mate was deffo running pure NL then, cos he got busted from the stink! And it smelled like all these...

It wouldn't surprise us,, those where experimental days... when pH pens only lasted a week Even the ppl at the shop didn't really know what they were doing,,, back then it was all very new, very cloak and dagger stuff. We distinctly remember actually paying for a hydro-shop catalogue once.. lol

Anyhow we doubt they are still responsible for the idiots setting fire to houses with ballasts today in the UK :wink:

the only purple bud ive ever had that tasted any good is purplehaze from amsterdam in 1999....very fruity...eversince nothings come close...purplepower looks like sh1t, most times..

No idea really, as I haven't flowered this one out. I doubt it though - looks like a green pheno at this stage. My experiences of purple bud is very different, though I'd only be including DJ Short's strains in that category. Cocoa Kush can be blisteringly strong...
