Much of what they do and perpetuate is political ( or for political reasons ) and not religious/spiritual in any way.

That's has yet to be proven genetically. Essentially Ashkenazi jews are typically central European with a larger than average middle eastern conponent. Very similar to southern Italians or Sicilians. Genetic evidence points more to an origin in the northern Levant or possibly Cyprus over that of the modern day state of State of Israel.
Populations have shifted a great deal over the last two thousand years. Its very difficult to pin point the origin of the Jewish people at this stage in genetic science.
Maybe someday you will be proven correct. I hope so. it would be terrible shame if so much suffering where caused by just another religious myth.

!??? I was just in Australia last week and according to them the "blacks" are their Aborigines. They seemed pretty confident about that. Interestingly they apply similarly derogatory associations to the term as most of those who apply it to Africans. I would argue that Africans come from Africa and that dark skin is related to an adaption to intense exposure to ultraviolet radiation and the heat of the sun.
