This reminds me of the book The Mothman prophecy which was comprised from a series of interviews with people that lived in west virginia on the ohio river and the events they said took place Before a bridge collapsed with people on it.
Now this was a crazy book....But it was about the premonition of a bridge falling and a series of events leading up to a disaster.Including a old abandoned tnt storage facility that was found to be leaking poison into the water way.
Any how this satellite explosion reminded me of this freaky book.The movie Mothman prophecy is so far removed from the book but the documentary Eyes of the Mothman is more like the book.....If you like that kind of thing.
