U.K cheese brightside cut ?

I'm just about to start cloning Bimbles,,,I've had it stressed out for a while now,,,I over fertilised to check its reaction,,,

So far 3 things have made me cautious to say its brightsides,,,everything looks right but its not reaching 100% accurately just yet

This one leaf thing is not something brightsides does as much as this cut,,,

The stem rub is not as "stingy",,,but I need to under fertilise to known for sure

It's a lily too bushy ATM,,,,,

I'm about to clone it and really under fert,,so il update you then
What you gotta remember about this cut Rick is that it came from a guy that grows in a shed joined on to a brick outhouse/coal bunker in his garden that is full of mites/Pm and he used the same rusty dirty stanley knife to cut his clones for more than 10 years(no joke) so lets say he doesnt exactly have the best practices as well as a terrible environment. So if she is behaving a little different than the more than likely better kept(health wise) cut you received from brightside all those years ago then its not surprising given the abuse she's had in her chain of custody..mate she was riddled when i got her and in the process of getting her cleaned up i managed to pick up a pm infestation at my old spot..hell its a wonder she's even alive after all these years given the neglect, she needs to be nursed back to health and i guess theres a chance she may not even ever get back to full potential after the life she's had...
As for the 1 leaf thing, she never did that when i had her,its just from the mum pre flowering as i said before when i was moving house, once you clone she wont express like that i'm sure...anyhow cheers for the update and i love the enthusiasm for the verification bro..... cheers bimble

I'm not making any judgements until I run through all the checks twice,,I've got the stem blood red now and it's starting to have a more accurate stem rub,,,but I have had moments when it's not looked familiar to me, but I do believe the picture im getting here is clouded by a reveg

il have it fully checked by end of August when the first sets of grows come in,,I know it sounds like a long time but I've had to be really fair and there has been a couple of Xs on the check list,,but I do believe the morphology is an issue ATM,,,

its defo the closest one ive seen yet but i need it to tick every box for me to be 100%,,,bringing it back to a low dose formulex and early veg morphology is my next job,,,i honestly believe this plant will look very different when i get it back in early veg,,,things have a specific look in my garden and this plant hasn't got the message just yet

U don't need to stem rub cheese

I need you to see all these fukin cheese cuts bro,,,you are literally one of the only people qualified to verify one of these cuts,,,have you had a chance to grow any of the names yet,,,witch ones have had a go on besides brightsides back in the day?

Windows
Psycho
Jahs
Blues

Previously we had

Dogons
3rd eye

windows for example has a lil more afghan in the rub,,some are more Berry like the blues,, brightsides was a Berry smell but it made ya nose sting even on the stem rub,,brightsides never smell of raw afghani on the stem rub tho like windows can,

I'm not sure I understood that previous post,,,

Have you had a chance to grow the variants?,,all are stupidly similar but one or 2 will take ya preference,,,I personally think blues and windows are my favourites,,psycho never really hit the spot for me ,,

Why had I heard of psychosis in 96 but not cheese till 2003
she was super tightly held in the ealry years it seems, the guy i acquired this cut from got her in 2012 but his source got her around 9/10 years before that i think, so similar time frame, guess she had started to leak out by then, especially as the exo crew had had her for a number of years by then too....
interesting enough my friend was told when he was passed the cut that it had won a cup in amsterdam and if you look back i think Hgf did enter the 'brightside' in 2003 or 4... cant remember exactly

Homegrown fantasy won 3rd place in the peoples cup category in 2004...
After that is when cheese become more widely known to the masses and it all went boom in the uk, then milo brought out cheese seeds and won the cup in 2006 and it went even more mental with the 'cheese' going on to becoome the uk's very own 'elite' known around the globe....
The rest is history/myth/lies... lol

I just hit the one in flower with a little Karmas Sweets pollen…

So well get to see what she does in crosses sooner than later.

dont think its low ... ive said the same thing when the guy was alive for years ... ive met a few breeders on my travels but our paths never crossed because i would of happily told him he was a sell out .. either way

send me a sample of your exodus flowers and ill send you some of mine and we can see the difference for our selves... ive currently got an exodus in flower.... let me know ... and trust being in the midlands in the uk ive smoked a whole variety of cheese so would be intresting to see where yours fits in.. ✌️🙏🏼👍
What makes him a sell out?

Just read through loads of this thread ..... and wow loads of politics and stories behind the Uk cheese ...... smoked it back in 2008 ish and it was fire I was only 18 tho ..... first plants I grew were steel city blues which I got told a blue cheese variety from up north ... and local to my area there is a killer cheese cut going around but it isn't cheese I found the source and it's a killer skunk plant that got passed around but it's been renamed would love to go back to 2008 and get some of that cheese that was around it changed the game ... that little 10 bag... 1.6 grams in a baggie Smelt the whole car out and then your house after you smoked it and if the smell didn't give it away the looks on everyone's faces who had smoked it squinty eyed and smiling awesome plant cheese is Uk cannabis history like og to America

Just saw a clone list from manchester doing the rounds and on it,yer you guessed it....cheese (bimbles cut)...that didnt take long haha...this makes me happy even if somebody is monetizing her,my goal was to get her in to as many gardens as possible so she stays preserved,i know that many folk will be sharing her for free before long too,and that makes me even happier

And yet nobody that received it has put up and finished flowers or verified it!
Obviously you know what you seen in your mates garden bimble but the waters are so polluted...really,no-body can be 100% on anything these days.
At least they tagged you!! You'll be as famous as erm...people who've found clones!!!

Yes its all good sharing with the community, I'm all for it, massively, I try to share as much as I can too, but this is the worst part about the community for me, people passing shit as cheese when it's not even been verified, and we wonder why we have 30 cheddars doing the rounds and no fukka actually knows what real cheese is anymore.

I'm sorry bud, it's not a dig at you or anything , but ffs cant anyone see the probelm here? We have everyone passing different arse cheese with someones name added to the end of every cut passed and it does nothing but get us further away from it in reality!!

It happens cos everyone wants to be associated with the cheese, so they pass it and breed it as cheese even if their not sure, and I'm sorry but to me thats just horse shit!

everyone claiming cheese this, cheese that when there's only one cheese clone in reality.
Yet, even ppl in the know do it when they should know better.

It's a named clone, by a grower, there is only one!!

Crazy, crazy, crazy game.

rant over lol

But i do sincerely hope yours does turn out to be the real deal or we just have another old smelly skunk thats "cheesy" added to the rounds.

Chances are slim now unless you get honest old skoool people that won't fuk about and will grow her out, people that were there back in the day and people to be honest about it instead of just going with the cheese label over and again then we're pissing in the wind this far along.

Shouldn't be this hard, it's a modern day thing, plenty of people still about, its not like it's that long ago.

I was just about to start sending it out,,,what should it be named?,,,I would like old growers who ran brightsides directly from me to concur with my findings,,Is this cool?,,,or not?

I've not sent one out yet ,,but I was planning on it,,,I was looking at having mine done and samples from 4 different growers by end of August

You should be growing her out and letting the community know your thoughts on it before handing anything out as cheese, you know people will just breed with it, pass it as cheese whether it is or isn't otherwise, it just goes round and round adding more possible fakes to peoples gardens and breeding programs which im sure you can appreciate isn't great?

Stress testing old skunks confirms nothing, they all act up like the cheese does under stress!

I'd like to see you flower her out and give your thoughts on it first and foremost myself rick :ying:
