Sorry for the off topic discussion about the chems but I agree with jaded1 I have tested chem 4 from dark heart nursery, the D cut from the UK clone fairy making its round a couple of years ago, the illuminati as well as a few stardawg IX reproed by a friend. The chem 4 as a great sour/aftershave like taste but on my experience is hard to get fully rippen, it lacks something in the high department (in my growing environment at least) while the D has a great all around high, a bit stupefying though and that taste ... rotten meat / garbage like with a lingering sourness, you get to like it after a while but it’s definetly not the most appealing at first. The stardawg as really great growing qualities, nice branching and overall yield, very nice plants to grow, but the illuminati for instance is a bit too chem 4 influenced for my taste and lacks something in the high department for that reason. From what I tested from the lines, it is very consistent and has some very nice phenos.

@skotty Corey haim and guava are 2 different cuts. From numerous reports the Corey is better than the guava.

Ive grown chem-d and chem91 ive also grown the manny and the purple ive also grown chem#4 x sfv og and i agree that the chem-d is an alround better plant..

her structure and the tightness of her flowers plus her agressive appetite makes chem-d a worthy cut to have for breeding purposes cause she has the abilty to tighten your buds as you see in the stardawg lineage..

For the amount of effort your better off running chem-d over stardawg but not everybody has accsess to the clone so stardawg is/was a similar offering in seed form

I totally get the chem lineage and totally see why she has to be kept around... but personally id take the kush.... i just prefer the og over the chems.. sfv og .. og kush.. ghost og.. tahoe og..insert your own og here...

Its the lemony citrusy piney fuely/gassy petrol nail varnish remover rocket fuel spectrum.. normally they are accompanied by any earthy back note when you get straight og's.. im sure og originated from chem91 but then breeders who do have chem91 can s1 her and pheno hunt their own og and call it what you want og.... chem91 is also used in sour d lineage iirc

Chem has played a massive part in todays genetics

But yeah kush/afghan ..skunk and haze/sativa all have phenos worth keeping just depends where your taste falls in the whole spectrum...

My cut is the original sheff blues cut im not sure what you guys are calling bluez..

Heres some bud shots of whats left from this harvest..if you have smoked the sheff blues you will know of how strong her flava and aroma is.. i personlly choose this over the exodus as i think she is just more extreme...:tiphat: blessed

Yeah exodus is sweet/lavender/floral pungent dank but sheff blues is more berry chemical sweet pungent lemony earthy pungent dank..

Both exodus and sheff bluez will leave a long lasting reminder on the user just for the shear taste profile of both cuts..

Technically it could be one of samS crosses so it isn't entirely off topic,,, the sk1 in that cross could be samS sk1 daddy,,,

I'm going crazy atm for hawaiian stuff,,, but without the sk1,,, i like the look of federations romulan x hawaiian or nirvana seeds maui hawaiian

What characteristics do the Hawaiian stuff have Rick? I read once that there wasn’t really any such thing as Hawaiian and that the stuff from the island is a mixture of all sorts of genetics

Yeh I'd say that's true,,, but it's isolation is an advantage in my eyes,,, people took the best genetics they could and created hybrids,,,

I personally think of buds like hawaiian snow,, Dutch flowers hawaiian haze,,, i found some hawaiian stuff has a weird purple colour,, i can't put my finger on what landrace it descends from,, but it reminds me of djs early blueberry

One of the best strains I ever sampled was an Hawaiian x northern lights.. Both parents from sensi.. Early 90s.. Mate just tried his hand at crossing 2 strains and the result was superb... Hard hitting indicia with a smell and taste to die for... He then crossed that to an early pearl and created Tiger skunk... Dunno what happened to the lad or the strains but if he carried on the path he was following I'm sure he would have created even more gems... I really do miss his skills :(

I'm surprised no one ever used the name... His buds did resemble a tigers tail which is why it got called Tiger skunk...

Talking of killer I once had a strain called "Granny Killer"... Crazy bit of weed but I doubt you would have killed your granny on it lol
