The effects of polyploidy on plant traits are important to horticulturists and plant breeders. Ploidy levels can influence crossability, fertility of hybrids, plant vigor, and gene expression (Ranney, 2006). The induction of artificial polyploids has been utilized in the development of allopolyploids to restore fertility in sterile hybrids, enhance crossability and fertility of progeny, create seedless triploids, produce novel gene combinations, and increase the expression and diversity of secondary metabolites (Chen and Ni, 2006; Contreras et al., 2007; Olsen et al., 2006; Soltis and Soltis, 1993; Wendel, 2000).

Tell me again about you Gout.

What about these double serrations, your interesting me :)

Selfing doesn't seem as fast as crossing siblings without the use of mutagens. Saying why would you add them is my whole point Yard Dog.

oh man i wouldn't wish it on anyone ,nothing stops the pain ,its like a thousand tattoo guns with very very deep needles going all at once on any joint or imagine a tourniquet made of razor wire tightening on a joint ,knees are worse ,makes me cry with pain ,takes 2 days for the colchicine to work but it does and oh its such a relief ,,
they say its due to good living ,so time to throw a steak on the grill and crack open some vintage cider ,,i got plenty of colchicine lol:huggg:

Ive played with polyploids. No idea what that has to do with the price of eggs but to answer your question...... yes....I have Dave.

Ive mutated thousands of plants as well Dave.

I got a feeling you know all about it.

Breeding with mutants can have serious consequences on a gene pool should it ever get out. Same reason you should have probably been aborted!hahaha I mean.... I'm dealing with the horrors that can come of it as I type this out!hahaha

Everyone who reads your little monkey squeaks is!hahaha

All joke aside...... even if by some miracle you weren't just squiring diarrhea out your mouth as usual and have a valid reason for suggesting I breed with mutants.....I'm not really equipped to do so Dave.

I don't have the ego for it.

BTW you have the most misleading name on this whole site. Hahaha

Calamari anyone..... that squids cooked!lol

Thanks for the lulz RL... but come on, you know the rules... don’t feed the trolls. This dbag goes thread to thread talking shit giving absolutely NOTHING of value...

Hope you feel better with meds Hazey. What form do they give you the Colchicine in? Can you spare a sample to show these non believer guys what happens if you use it?

I've heard of the reversing issues. But It can be done. Others apparently have.

I agree that far too many people might expect replicants of the mother when growing an S1.

if it's sterility issues could be over come with enough ease that you, the members in this thread who hold her could do it at home.

Would that be something you wish was "out there" and in the public domain, so to speak?

Just curious.

Ethically? Greed and profit? Considering all these thing?

I see what your saying but if you follow my logic to its conclusion, those concerns are avoided... anyways, you can't sight the greed of others to justify keeping something to yourself, can you? :)

The only benefit I could see would be to get a plant with the "gigas" effect and for the double haploid route, SamS looked into Ploids as he was after a true sterile plant, I think most ploid breeding has not led to much in cannabis..

Then you don't see very much Yard Dog. Thinking is probably not too good for you on this, I'd read about it 1st.

Can you explain to me what the ploid breeding is that Sam did that you talk of can you :)

There are many more advantages to this than what you can see @ the moment if you were to look more.

Well when you put it THAT way!haha I certainly can't.

I guess it the ethics.

Something I struggle to understand completely. My "special" interest in cannabis has led me to all kinds of interesting and unexpected discoveries.

Being unable to justify my curiosity other than "just because" and being completely unable to understand what it is I had done, genetically speaking, I became fearful of going on. Speaking about what I have done and how to do it would not only put me in the crosshairs, it might possibly lead others to do what I've done.

I'm proud of what I've been able to learn but sharing it is something I struggle with.

The tech I was eluding to is something I stumbled on to researching a completely different subject. Serious Frankenstein shit. It occurred to me that this tech could be used to overcome the type of sterility that cheese was rumored to suffer from.

The prob is that it can also be used to do possibly horrific things to the cannabis gene pool.

That's where my concern about greed comes up. I fear there are some that wouldn't care about the irreversible harm it would cause to this beloved gene pool in order to cash in on something that no one has ever seen.

Even if it's completely useless, make no mistake, it would sell out.

Much like why there hasn't been a release of the old ABC mutant. the guy(in America)who has it is an ethical guy and there are some REAL issues with that line. Genetically speaking.

I don't know man.... I'm just a caveman. This might be THEE most I've spoken about it on open forum. I'm alone with my thoughts and I struggle with them.

I see your point though.

Off to ponder.haha

Before dishing advice out MD perhaps you should take your own;

Did you read up on that 1st? 1st you stated it isn't bullshit then reversed that pretty quick.

You seem to be a :peacock: who loves to lord it over people and spew how great you are, why don't you tell us what Colchicine brings and how the ploids are great for cannabis? you won't though will you? I've read plenty on ploids MD and I still say other than the use of DH's there's nothing there.

As to SamS you where in the thread so should already know.

It's nice to have a collection of personal trolls that have nothing but my posts to entertain them. I've always wanted groupies. Perhaps you can do my dirty laundry whilst you look through my posts for something that might be flipped round to gain a like for your profile.

If the level of knowledge & gardening ability being dropped in this thread is entertaining enough for it's readers I think it say's a lot about the cheese :) & you peeps, seems to be endless garbage then some new information then pages of ass kissing & complaints before we see other sick plants & a small dentate pic of a leaf like it has something to do with botany & identification :)
