This is the one I got off Heath Robinson in 2005, probably the one used in his chiesel

What I loved was the taste couldn’t stop smoking it, but got cheesed off with it after a year and moved on.....

A couple of years after that I ran Motarebel’s Dirty Harry which was just as strong smelling, reeked of rotting grapefruit and wiped the floor with everything, that’s why it was called dirty

As far as I'm concerned,all the 'elite clone onlys' are generally only craved and desired by those who haven't got them to hand.
Over the years, I've had a few very special clones of things I've selected myself, or that were started from seed by friends, or a 'clone only' sport cultivar usually from an accidental cross... I've loved and mourned the loss of all of them, if I've been unfortunate enough to lose them, but no matter how special or awesome, or hyped and desired by others, the truth of smoking the same herb, or the same handful of herbs, is boring. Variety is the spice of life, and when I smoked flowers, I was surprised more than once by herb grown from easily obtained feminised or auto seeds...Got a great hit off it, enjoyed a different flavour and cannabinoid ratio..I've never had a cannabis plant yet that made me feel like my seed collection could be discarded and I'd only ever grow this one thing for the rest of my life.Good and even great plants are reasonably easy to find.

Unlike ChronD Ive only found truly special plants once from seed. Ive grown a lot of seeds too. I grew original regular Nevilles Haze from Greenhouse Seeds in 2003 and honest to god, Ive kept nothing Ive grown from seed since. It set the bar and nothing has met it yet.

The bad news is I had no idea the whole seed game would turn to shit and things like that and the other stuff that WAS good would disappear. I never kept mums. By the time I thought about getting more it was over

I had a similar plant from an original amnesia freebie from dinafem. Huge yields of v. potent haze that reeked of incense when smoked.

I popped hundreds of original amnesia after that and never found her again

I know dinafem gets rinsed but due I think to the breeding stock they use there is some gold in there that can pop up randomly. Speaking from my experience

Think your mind is playing tricks with you m8. the older we get the harder we hang on to certain memories. Those memories also become jaded over time. For instance I remember eating a meal at a certain place 15 years ago thinking damn this is the best ever. The last time I was at that port, I ate the same meal at the same restaurant with the same lady cooking and yeah didn't meet expectations... I think you are aiming at a ceiling that keeps moving

wow Spav I'm amazed,I must have been getting all your keepers in my packs..
if it's any help,I mainly steered away from the dutch seedbanks since feminised seeds became popular,I think it allowed some outfits to believe they only had to hold onto one or two choice females and that was it. With that said I have grown excellent plants from magus genetics and serious seeds when both were separate companies and sold regs only. I've found very very good plants in the early packs of nirvana/kulu seeds,and KCbrains..again when both companies only dealt in regular seeds.
I sought out canadian and US genetics a good while before the ogkush craze and can say with some certainty that a keeper or even two could be found in 95% of 12 packs of chimeras regular seeds,and leprechaun along with GDP seeds that were made by the dungeons vault guy,or under his own company name..keepers found in every pack I grew.
I truly believe there is likely to be an outstanding plant in pretty much any regular pack of seeds, and even when I've grown 8 out of 10 seeds in a pack and not found anything good,I'll still pop the last seeds where maybe others would have given up.When DNA genetics was a young company their regular seed was pretty reliable for producing the goods.
Cannabiogen,delicatessen,mandala..all old companies whose regular seed is excellent,and I'd trust CBG and delicatessen fems over most..I've spent a bit of time with a couple of the spanish companies and those guys love their herb,and know good herb..
I'm truly surprised you aren't finding keepers man I reckon you've had some bad luck that's all.

Its not that mate because all my friends who grow are like you and find keepers just like you do, and rate stuff highly but when they bring it to me and I smoke some I think "really?". I say "ye nice" to not offend but they wouldn't be keepers for me.
Also, Ive grown a few nice clones I know other people rate as keepers and Ive binned.

In a way, finding and not keeping that Nevilles ruined weed for me. Nothing else even competes with it. No Madela effect or rose tinted memories either, Im not alone, many of those of us who grew stuff like old Nevilles, Kali Mist, NL5Haze have a similar opinion. If you weren't there back in the late 90s and early 2000s growing the best Dutch genetics at the time, you won't understand. Trust me, the best modern gear is made with cuts from that period. My standard was set by growing and smoking those parent genetics.

Same with this cheese. I KNOW what it was because I was there, growing up in Luton at the time. If your first experience of cheese was after 2006, in another part of the country or world, its more likely you have yet to try the real deal and won't understand old-timers insistence that shit ain't real or all that.

NBEone!'s cut is actually nicer as it cures and is beginning to get some tastiness going and its very much reminiscent of the cheese type aroma but its sweeter, less astringent and not as potent.
The one I remember was barely dry when it was handed over in exchange for a score.

It was big, chunky, fox tailed and light green with light orange pistils. Without even being properly dry and zero cure it was amazing, even to someone who'd already been smoking weed for 10 years. Thats the most unique thing about it I think - instant fire, connoisseur smoke within days of the chop. Did Windows cut smell right, right away? or did it need time to get to a level you could amaze people with?

to be honest, the bloke who seems reluctant to hand over his Window buds MIGHT be thinking its no good enough to be cheese but was his shit growing and that Ill say its him or something. Thats plausible.
He didn't at any point in the last 11 weeks say YES BRO!!!! didn't say anything at all so that makes sense that it ain't it.
Telling you mate, you won't find what WE remember in Birdys cut either, as nice as it is.

The guy I got my cut off, drys his in his tent, four to five day's, bag's it and sells it.....he is an animal!
But, it has the taste and the stink, almost straight away and people still buy it.

Also, even in the state he sells it, it needs to be vac/heat sealed or the smell will get out, ziplocks ain't no good! Does Birdie's stink through a ziplock, I mean, could you walk into a shop with it in your pocket and not worry....you couldn't with mine.

Variety of weed is the Solution.
