trying for 15lbs

ive been sick w/ the flu for over a freaking week. i am just now getting enough energy to reply to the posts. sorry bout the long wait.

Blaze1up, the res picture is right b4 i changed the res. during the week it is not as bad. i have not had the foam anymore. i must have finannly killed it all off. as for my feeding schedule, i used, 1L of H2O2, 750mls of each Connie A and B, 1200mls of Vitaboost pro, 400mls of Fulvic,30mls of barricade, 150grams of big bud and 100grams of Carboload. im keeping my solution to the minimum on this grow since i am in a true hydroponic medium which u know is not my regular medium of 50/50 coir/perlite.
u guys know how i feel about the additives. i fully understand that vitaboost, fulvic and barricade do not in themselves increase yields but to me they r more of an insurance policy insuring me a healthy crop even under unforseen stresses.

Mid Town, i do not have lids for the 2 res that feed 2 trays. i should though it could come to bite me in the ass if my humidity rises too much toward the end. i do have a lid for the middle res.

2is250, the additoon of carbo is for yeild enhancment, when using bloom enhancers like big bud and overdrive it is bennificial to add some carbs because the plants r using carbs in large amounts at that time. the fulvic is for a few different reasons including helping build drought resistance into the plants and it works as a chelator helping the plants to absorb nutrients easier.

-I've only been trying the beneficials, scorpion, voodo, seaweed, sensizym, MEST, and sensi-cal in addition to my Canna Coco nutes, on coco coir slabs. It has seemed to be quite ok. So now I have also gotten my hands on Big bud, overdrive, final phase.

If someone could give me pointers on how to use these additives with Canna nutes (or even AN baseline) in my RTW drip-fed slab run I'd be so thankful!?!
the best way to use the scropion juice would be as a foliar spray at 5mils per liter of water and sprayed 1x a week untill week 3 of flower. many people have claimed good results from using the scorpion juice week 5 or 6 of flower also in the res at about 5 to 10mls per gallon.

the voodo, sensizyme and Met can be used at approximate rates based on the label. the seaweed is another that is effective as a foliar spray or added to ur res. i don't think u need the sensical when using canna nutes since they r nutes based on coir mediums.

as for the big bud and overdive i recomend starting w/ the big bud at the beggining of week 2 around 150ppm increasing to 225ppm week 3 and 300ppm week 4. the overdive should be added at 200ppm week 5 and 6 of flower. flushing w/ final phase week 7. that is based on a 7 week schedule. if ur strains take longer simply increase week 4 for each additional week of flower.

WOWOWOW! Thank you so much Hunter!

WOWOWOW! Thank you so much Hunter!

:jump: Aren't you the greatest!?! Here I come just dumping into your thread and asking stuff, and voilla -bam- you pop in and answer my call right away!!! :headbange

-I'm inly considering using the calmag additive because my water is extremely soft. (pH 5,8-7,1 as extremeties throughout the last 3 years. And EC level is 0.0 -They have recently switched from chloride gas sterilization to sodiumhypochlorite, because high humus content in the source caused pH reduction and piping troubles in the city areas served from that source)

And since some of my strains have ended up curling their budleaves downwards, in and under. Some are ending up as "flat rings" actually I though it could be something related to that...
I'm also confused about having only been able to hit an ec of 1,7 for 3 days before I experienced burning, so I guess I could just need some extra runoff.

Well well, enuff of me ramblin'''

I wish you a great grow and of course a happy recreational vacation afterwards...

57, I always get this foam in every reservoir that has both carboload and bigbud. It lasts for a few days, then settles. I have stopped freaking out about growth in the reservoir lately, though, as it has never seemed to hurt me... just keep it moving and it's A ok.

First of all, fantastic setup, that's outstanding! I'm very new at this, but 15 lbs from 400 plants is only 17 grams per plant! I thought you'd get a lot more, like at least a couple oz's.. Even 2 oz's per plant (which sounds low) is 50 lbs, isn't that a more realistic estimate? Even ONE oz/plant is 25lb's. Or are you planning to flower little 8" plants or something to save time? (and making up for it with brute quantity)

Great grow i was wondering why you used hydroton on this one instead or your normal coco mix and which one you prefer... keep up the killer work :joint:

ur estimate sounds good.LOL!!LOL!!! realisticly u can only get so much out of a 1k watt light no matter how many plants u have. going by the ol' per plant rule does not work. the best way to to guestimate ur potential yield is per watt. i most often grow between 40 and 50 plants per light but i have at times grew as few as 25 and as many as 80 plants per light. generally speaking the yields r about the same, the main difference is veg time and of course strain. growing 25 plants my veg will be about 5 weeks where as growing 80 plants per light my veg time will be about 3 days. when growing 40 plants per light i veg for somewhere between 10 and 20 days depending on the strain.

i prefer coir/perlite mix by far. i am not really a true hydro grower generally speaking. i can and have grown NFT, Aero, Hydroton, straight Perlite, Rockwooland many many soiless mixes but i prefer the ol' coir and perlite based mixes the best. soil aint bad either but i am definitely a coir and perlite grower. i can( and have many times) go on and on as to why. if AN was still up i could leave some URLs here that go back to some of my many threads on the subject. since AN went i have alot less interest in going over it all again :badday: . hopefully i will regain my excitment for teaching(and even continueing to learn) the art and science of growing MJ but for now i am just tired of it all. i will say that the properties of both coir and perlite make them the most effective grow mediums on the planet for so many reasons i do not want to get started on but if u do a little research on them u will soon realize why they r so perfect. perlite is by far superiour to hydroton esp when u add cost effectiveness.

WOW, that's going to be a very large harvest for sure. Sorry, if this question was asked already or answered, but are those 3x6 or 4x8 trays? Super job and look forward to seeing the harvest from this one. Sorry, to hear about your flu. I was hit with a very bad summer cold and was in bed for 3 days. I know your pain. Take care and thanks for sharing.
Later,

Very nice man. Good to see you are still sharing your projects after AN closed its doors. Can't wait to see this 50 pound harvest :)
