I agree. California is a great state. The people are great as well. I've spent a lot of time south of the Oregon border and enjoyed every minute of it. Except the weeks I spent in Fresno. That place totally sucks.

Spent a bunch of time in Texas as well. Dallas/Plano = sucks. Houston = sucks. Abilene = awesome people. Lubbock = great people crappy town. San Antonio = OK. Gladewater = miserable.
Crossing the state line into Shreveport Louisiana and Bossier = want to turn around.

Bossier totally sucked. Couldn't wait to get out of that hell hole. Every other business was a liquor store, check cashing place, or both. Filthy town and more than it's share of complete alcoholics. Worst thing was getting back home. Had to take a commuter jet to Louis Armstrong airport in New Orleans. They need to tear that rat infested airport down. Had to wait 5 hours for my flight back to Portland in that shithole because the damn lady booking trips for the company I was working for was a complete idiot. That airport sucks.
