Should be an interesting week for the rage/stroke watch, sometime this week the judge is supposed to come up with his final ruling on how much Trump has to pay on the Business Fraud case.. Since he has to put up the full amount of the settlement in New York to appeal these cases he's already got close to $100 Mill sitting in an escrow account for the two cases with E Jean Carroll and the DA for the business fraud is asking for $370 Mill and the judge could go higher for all the attacks and threats made against him and his wife and his clerk. Some are saying the judge might go as high as $500 Mill. If he wasn't lying about his cash on hand ($400 Mill) he's not going to have enough to put on bond to appeal that one unless he sells something. What's cool about this escrow account bond thing to appeal, is if he doesn't win, the money goes to whoever is supposed to get it. So they won't have to be waiting on a miracle like those two election workers from Rudy's case. According to all the legal experts the chances of Trump winning his appeals is virtually none existent since all the grounds Trump thinks he has for appeal stems from the fact that he hasn't really understood any of these cases. Like the latest one. He thinks he has a good case for appeal because they wouldn't let him try to relitigate the rape case that was ruled on while he was hangin out at his crappy Golf Course in Scottland that nobody likes. This latest case was all just about how much he was going to have to pay and had he just kept his mouth shut instead of redefaming the woman on his social media account and his impromtu press conferences outside the courtroom his judgement probably wouldn't have even been half as much as what it ended up being. are you talking about the one he buried next to a fairway on the golf course? after he loses in court, he won't own that golf course, and can't be buried there. they -could- bury him face-up in a sand trap so duffers could chip his teeth out for his cheating at golf, like everything else....

I don't think he's suggesting Dems should start mass arrests. "dems are weak" and so therefore are not doing mass arrests, is my read.
My question: Why doesn't dude imagine himself being among those arrested?

politically weak unprincipled democrats constantly capitulate to the far right and end up mainstreaming their warped perception of reality (ie southern border invasion nonsense). joe's still currently building and funding parts of trump's wall is he not?
if the tables were turned, the GOP would have already started a hearing into prosecuting any elected official from states who defied the president and scotus because they are not afraid to wield power. democrats seem like they are afraid, or they just don't care. at this late in the game i'll go with the latter.
I know, that's my point it's the escrow account appealing it that is going to bankrupt him. He's already appealed the two defamation cases so that's $88.8 Million ($5.5 Mil + $88.3). Al;though you're incorrect about it being gone. If he wins the appeals then he gets it all back, of course his chances of winning the appeals are so remote he might as well count on never getting that money back.
He is not, the only funding that still went to the border wall was appropriated by Trump in 2019. When Biden took office in 2021 he tried to stop t by declaring that the national emergency at the Southern Border was over. This had the effect of stoping it temporarily. Alas due to the laws regarding how money already appropriated is spent, Biden was unable to stop it since a current administration by law can't stop funding for a project issued by a previous administration. However those funds only amounted to around $2 billion. Fortunately or unfortunately depending on your viewpoint, the amount approriated was only enough for about 14 miles of additional wall. Trump technically did end up building about 435 miles of wall but of that only 40 miles is new wall, the rest of it replaced old, existing wall put in place by several previous administrations. Trump tried to claim that he finished the wall with the last bit of funding he got appropriated but that like most things Trump says, is a lie. The original claim was for 1000 miles of border wall. Had Trump just added on rather then replacing the old wall he would have come much closer to his goal but still would have fallen short, even counting the last bit Biden was unable to stop. As for what Biden is doing still with regards to the wall, the answer is nothing. His administration is niether building or seeking funding for more border wall to be built. It should be noted that Biden did try to get Congress to redirect the money (the only way construction could have been stopped legally since Congress controls how money is spent). Unfortunately that was while Republicans still controlled the Senate and so Congress refused to reappropriate the money.
As for the current negotiations about Immigration reform while it's true that Democrats are conceeding to some of the Republican's demands it's only in areas that are reasonable such as more funds for patrols and more funds to increase the number of judges to process asylum requests. While it might not be an invasion there is a problem with the border that does need to be addressed as far too many are being released into the country under asylum requests that end up getting denied but by the time it does those making those requests are too well integrated into society to easily track down and remove. What the Democrats are not agreeing to though arelarger internment camps, mass deportations, the removal of natural birth right citizenship and many of the more extreme measures the GOP would like to see.
The difference between the GOP and the Democrats isn't the ability to wield power. Rather it is the willingness to do so in a lawless way. The GOP has no regard for the laws that govern the nation and will readily disregard them. The Democrats on the other hand still respect the laws and try to work within them to achieve their goals. That's the real difference between the Democrats and Republicans.

So the GOP will have 3 or 4 months to mount a presidential campaign behind someone the previous candidate completely alienated to his base with a quarter of what the Democrats have money wise with no policy wins or even policy.
The best thing that the GOP can hope for is Trump dropping dead in these next few weeks before Trump really solidifies the nomination. Then they might be able to salvage a run for Nikki. Who has no money, no policy wins, or even policy to run on. The only thing they have going for them is Joe is old and losing support because of his policy stance on Israel and Gaza. Which mirrors the GOP's.
This coming year is going to be WILD!!
