Trump thread part 2 (Or anything else we want to talk about that's ridiculous in politics today)

I'm not interested in watching a strange video from a questionable site . And I'm not interested in reading hundreds of pages of a thread that I understand is some kind of religious subject.
I would hardly call YouTube a questionable site. The people who put together videos of this nature might be questionable though, but only if you judge things thru a partisan lense. Still I understand your reluctance given how most political commentaries tend to report things with a one sided view. If you watch the video though you'll see that person in the video reports most of what she says bt reading out loud from the actual report. She also tells you where you can download it for yourself so that you can read it yourself and draw your own conclusions. I'm guessing though you won't want to do that since like the Great Awakening Thread it's over 900 pages long.

I will look into project 2025 I'm not on board with totalitarianism, that is not what I signed up for in the republican party.I take a lot of the politics with a grain of salt .

As for the great awakening. I Googled it and it said something about a new world order, and religious such and such.
Sounds kind of unusual, and I am not in the market for a new religion.

Thank you for the answer, this answer sounds intelligent to me. I'm not down with authoritarianism. If this is the case.
Well obviously they don't say that their goal is for an authoritarian styke government, but in essence that's what they are talking about. I'm really quite surprised they've put it out there as openly as they did and other then dressing up the language a bit they really don't do much to disguise what their objectives are. I mean if you want to win an election you don't do it by circulating a plan openly that talks about getting rid of the government as we've known it all our livs and replacing it with what you consider the government should be even though it removes all of the checks and balances our forefathers so carefully put into place in order to prevent things like this from happening. They're basically saying to the voting public that they know better then you what is best for you and they're goal is to impleent their plans regardless of what the voters think.

Well the Great Awakening being discussed here refers to a thread on this site that supports the far right agenda we hear so much about in the politics of the past 7 years. The Great Awakening you found thru Google is an actual period in history that was kind of about reinventing religion from the established traditional practices to a more strict adherence to religious principals, mostly involving the Evangelical church. If you studied the historical Great Awakening in detail you'll probably find some common themes with the thread here on this site since much of what has shaped the far right politics of the country is tied to the Evangelical church but in general the historical Great Awakening has nothing to do with the Great Awakening thread found on this site. If however you would be interested in a thread where the majority of the posters favor the brand of politics pushed by Trump, Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor Green, Lauren Booebert, etc. Or that favors the beliefs of the QAnon followers then that's a thread you would probably want to check out. It is a pretty long thread though that's been running since the days Trump was first elected in 2016 so trying to read all of it is probably a waste of time and so if instead you focused on just the last 10 or 20 pages that should be enough to bring you current with what is being discussed in that thread.

Thank you HempKat I will slowly read the thread, but I will probably try to stay in my lane.
No problem but mind you, i wasn't exactly recommending that thread, unless of course that's your kind of thing. I was merely trying to help you understand what it was because if you formed an opinion of that thread by looking up The Great Awakening on Google, you would be basing your view of it on the wrong thing. If however you find yourself at odds with the views expressed on this thread, then you would probably find yourself more comfortable over on that thread.

spoiler alert - you will find that MUCH of the content is the very same claims made repeatedly. if there was some way to delete those instead of wading through shit constantly, you could read the entire thread in a half hour or so IMHO.

To be honest I am a little leary , but to each there own .I would lay down my life for there right to believe what they want.

But I come from a military family, we don't have some secret conspiracy. My papa ( grandpa) A real mensch. Fought nazis in ww2 .I was in the Royal Canadian army cadets. In the electrical mechanical engineers platoon. I must have missed the satanic mass and the instructions on creating a new world order.

So Trump's sanity is slipping beyond the Don Quixote stage... Tilting at windmills. Totally sane behavior.

Oh he went way beyond that when he claimed a couple of years ago that the sound from wind turbines causes cancer. This new one with the whales though is completely ridiculous on it's face. First off if it were true this is something that all the animal rights groups would be clammering about all over the place. Putting that aside though, given that wind turbines do not operate below the surface of the ocean but rather quite high above it, the only possible way a whale might be killed by a wind turbine would be if it deliberately jump out of the water and into the turbine in an attempt to commit suicide. I would also stress the words "might kill" because given the relatively slow speed with which the blades of a wind turbine turn and the size and weight of most whales which can withstand the immense pressures deep in the ocean, I seriously doubt a wind turbine could inflict much damage on a whale let alone kill one.

They may look like they're turning slow, but the ends of wind turbines are usually moving close to 200 mph believe it or not. But I get what you are saying.

I forgot about the cancer thing. :ROFLMAO:

Chump stating that he would have General Milley executed for telling China that our nuclear weapons were stable is another example of the coup that he seeks. Executing top military officers only happens in authoritarian dictatorships where taking over the military is a key component of a governmental overthrow.
There is a wacko running wild and a third of out citizens are drunk on his koolaid. Milley defended himself by saying the both he and the entire armed services are loyal to the constitution and are prepared to fight to the death for the constitution. In effect, he stated that their loyalty goes higher than some nut job with crazy ideas.

Are you serious? 200MPH? That's pretty amazing because yeah they definitely don't look like they're moving anywhere near that fast. Well even if they are moving that fast it doesn't really change my point much because the whale would still have to decide to deliberately jump high enough to come into contact with the blades. I just don't see a whale swimming along and suddenly think jumping out of the water and into the path of some giant moving blades as being a good idea of something to do.

You know, it's looking like this civil business fraud case might turn out to be the most devestating blow to Trump because it's hitting him in one of the few ways he cares about, which is his money. What I really love about that case is that his lawyer totally screwed up on one of the documents she had to file by forgetting to check a little box that indicates she wanted a jury trial and then nobody caught the error until the deadline to make any corrections was passed. That mistake keeps the whole trial being decided by the judge that Trump has been pissing off by continuely re-filing frivilous motions that the judge already ruled against. I like to think that forgetting to check that little box for the jury trial as karmic payback for the way Trump fleeced his supporters by having a little checkbox on the donation form that if not unchecked legally allowed Trump to keep taking money from the person's account every month which is a totally douchbag move. There were a whole bunch of his supporters that he screwed pretty good by having that set to allow a monthly withdraw as the default setting.

Not that my heart is really breaking for them because his supporters got screwed. That's what you get for giving your hard earned money to a billionaire who got his wealth by cheating the system. But still, a lot of his supporters are old folks living on a limited fixed income that need their monthly income to make ends meet and who genunely think of him as being someone who cares about them.

And those same will cheer him on even when their social security checks don't show up because of the government shutdown the he ordered.

I do not feel bad for them.

To get an idea how fast the blades are moving look at them with binoculars. Space station is visible at certain times and it looks like it is drifting along across the sky. With binoculars the speed is apparent.

Former first lady Melania Trump renegotiated her prenuptial agreement with Donald Trump as the former president campaigns for a second term, sources told Page Six. The updated terms, which sources say involve both finances and property, increase the trust set up for the couple’s youngest son, Barron. It’s believed to be at least the third time the couple has renegotiated their prenup. This instance comes amid a number of costly legal battles for the former president as Trump fights four criminal indictments, is set to pay $5 million to E. Jean Carroll after losing a defamation battle, and may be forced to pay $250 million in the civil case against him and his businesses in New York.
