Seems to me, with the recent upswing of mass migration across the world, no one ever looks at the big picture and just want to find someone or something to blame. To me mass migration represents a failure of humans as a species, a failure to understand each other, to help each other, simply a failure to be good.
Sure there are bad immigrants wanting to come to another place to do nefarious things, but most are just looking for a better life. Who doesn't want a better life? Why don't we try and make the places these people are running from into places they want to stay? Perhaps all this negativity, division, and arguing will eventually lead to something great for humanity. I mean, you've gotta throw up before the mescaline kicks in right? So I like to try and be positive and believe that the more bad we see and have to deal with the less and less we're gonna put up with it and the better the chance that a positive change is going to come for all society.
I was trying to not take the bait, but mate, you're totally delusional. Have you ever left the US? I've not lived in America for nearly 20 years and have traveled extensively around the world and the major consensus about America is that it's an asshole of a country, regardless of who is running it. And from an outsiders perspective voting a reality TV star into run your country has made you all the butt of the worlds joke, it's not improved any ones view of the US.
Now to the original topic, I actually think these talks are good, anything that reduces nuclear tension is great in my book, regardless of who is involved in those talks. To me it seems like Kim is actually wanting to bring his country out of the dark ages and open up trade and talks with the big boys for the betterment of North Korea. Sure they've been reported to have done atrocious things, but so does every power playing country, the US's track record is abysmal in that respect. I find it amusingly ironic that people are trying to down play the talks cause "Trump didn't walk away with anything and conceded to a murderous dictator" like they're on some high horse because their own country would never treat people like that. These talks effectively ended the Korean War so again, I can't see a negative in that.
The flow of this thread has been pretty cool to follow actually. As much as some of the comments and such annoy or bother me, I think it's pretty cool how a single little plant has brought so many of us from such varied backgrounds together to sit on a website and talk about shit in an unfiltered way. You really don't get a lot of real life chances to do this.

No, no it won't. Not for 6.5 years. Then Ivanka will be the first woman president for the next 8 years. Donald Trump Jr. will follow for the next 8 years at which time it will be Barron's turn for 8 years. Then people in the UK will start liking us again because we will have a royal family.
