It's a bit murky what you are referring to here since I quoted several different things, but if you are referring to illegal immigrants being separated from their children, that is the way that our system has worked forever for incarcerated parents regardless of the crime. As with most of the things that Liberals are outraged about immigration, this has been on the books for years and selectively winked at. The solution is not to ignore the law, but to change it. That is, if anyone has a better solution.

I am an advocate for an end to the corrupt government contract process. Let the company's openly compete for these contracts.

Like I said their are many ways to save money without compromising the readiness of our military. I would also like to get rid of the majority of the nuclear weapons. I see no need for the numbers of nukes we have. Not to mention the cost to maintain the weapons. We could cut our nukes to a few hundreds. Even if Russia has thousands of nukes, who cares. It only takes a few large nukes to make life shitty enough you will wish you were dead, if their is a launch on any western country, the world will most likely end for us all.

Of course there is no middle ground on this one. The only reason this thread exists is to understand how the other side sees it. A side bonus is also letting the other side know how much you think their position sucks and maybe pissing them off some as a result. There will be no changing of minds here and no convincing the other side that your opinion is the correct one, no matter what facts are presented. That is a given.

You have made your position pretty clear throughout the thread. People have been banned and posts disappeared along the way. Once you start deleting posts that you deem inappropriate, it is nearly impossible to administer the acceptable level of bashing equally on both sides. For the concerned parties to be in US custody, "the point of presentation" is, of necessity, inside the borders of the US. I have serious doubts that the Border Patrol is crossing the border, kidnapping any hapless families passing by, dragging them back across the border and incarcerating them with the intent of separating the parents from their children.
