Triple,Single blade Leaves..??

I have a strain from Vancouver Is.that I've had for about 4 yr.s. The very first grow(Outdoors) I selected a M and F AND let them produce seed..same strain.I ended-up with a boat-load of seed.The plant has evrything going for it,grows like crazy,comes in on time,very,very stoney,and produces a ton.The strain has Indica written all over it,huge fan leaves,wants to be a main cola producer. Now here's the dilema,when topped,pruned,or cloned, it wants to grow out all these single and triple bladed leaves. Is it the inbreeding or just the pruning that causes this? I really love this plant but, it can be pretty freaky looking if chopped-up too much. It clones out really nicely though..and has so many good attributes and gets gigantic outdoors...whats the problem??

i have seen it happen before... my buddy grew out some SSH...not sure where from...but it formed 1 blade leafs and round leafs that looked like a circular saw. we called'em pinwheels.

single/triple blade leaves can happen from a few things.. the 1st that come to mind are revegging plants, or not enough N..

It is very normal for the leaves to get smaller the more you top the plant, and it just might be that your strain would rather put out leaves with less fingers than small leaves with 5 or more fingers, if you know what I mean.

I realy wouldn't worry about it unless your plant loses vigour and starts to grow slowly..

I would say it's a combination of gentics and the topping..

i have seen it on SSH also, it occured from being revegged.

I have some Nirvana's White Rhinos and the shorter pheno has like:

30% 3 blades
10% 4 blades
60% 5 blades
and a very few leaves with 1 blade only

Several WR expressed an indica pheno and 3 bladed leaves, from seed. The bagseed and the WR sativa pheno wich i grow just the same don't express 3 bladed leaves.
