I doubt anything you get from seed is the same weed. That doesn't mean that what's being called Trainwreck today isn't good. But it's just a name. Lots of good weed out there and people call it whatever they want as there is no entity verifying anything as far as cannabis strains are concerned. At least none with any real credibility.

Smoked the trainwreck back in the day. We got all the good stuff coming out of Northern California here in Portland Oregon back then.

I just realized he gave me a Trainwreck Bx too.

Not sure maybe a couple got a small flowering run going with a few weeks left. Don't usually do much in the summer but hold mothers so may have to wait for the fall. I don't have any info on the black.. he seems to be a really good dude had a little email convo. I sent a little extra just basically rounded up my order to a nice even number but yeah he hooked it up nicely...

Hey ya'll, just trying to catch back up on this thread and its been moving. I meant to get in here a week or so and some much has popped up in this short of time. 1st of all nice pics ya'll. Thats the TW i'm after. Recently grew out the 20/20 Mendocino Arcata TW fems, 2 of them and was a little let down with my results. Started a 3 pack of fems, only 2 germed and grew very uniform almost like clones which was a good thing. Topped 1 before flower and left the other natural. They started looking like they may fall over so I staked them up. We got 8 days of straight rain late in the season and most of the other plants suffered a lot of damage from mold and rot but not these TWs. No damage at all so that was a big plus but after drying and curing them for a few months the smoke is lacking. Smells like lemon grass to me and nothing else but the taste is not present. Light effect and leaves me wanting much more. Didn't get the famous mentholated dead whale dipped in lemon gasoline with these. I also grew GH's Trainwreck a long time ago but that strain was dead whale and I don't know what a whale smells like but I imagine it was that lol. Smelled enough dead stuff in my life and that stunk like discovering a brand new funk. Our beaches are about 2 hrs aways but again never stumbled upon a dead whale there so I can't compare the smell. Used to get TW off the street that was more of a racy up high but it lacked the funk aspect to it. Also the GH TW had a different structure than the 20/20 TW but the later did look the closest to the cut in structure but lacked that grey look the Arcata cut buds have to them.

Hey JAWS, awesome looking buds as always. I've always enjoyed seeing you rock the Arcata TW. I'll throw my vote in for you to make some more fems. I have some of your beans in the stash, gifted by a mutual friend. Its quite the collection of strains I may say, just hope they will germ after this long of time.

Also where is CVS at? I used to chat it up with my boy CV back in the day on here. Grew several of his strains like the Cookie Wreck, Garlic Breath, and Alien Breath. That Cookie Wreck was awesome and could cut through a dab high and that Garlic Breath was a potent heavy hitting indica. Always wanted him to S1 the Tenn. Hogsbreath. If someone could point me in the right direction, thanks in advance. Take care 1

The Cut is what you want. Only s1 I have ever had that beat a cut was Cali Conn Tahoe s1. I ran Ghost, Chem 91 and a few more even a couple from CV.
