LOL, that Wreck in pic is from a master. He grows 3X the yield I do in the same space. BUT mine is stronger

I mixed (through a screen) some Wreck, Skunk, and G-13. This is the current "adventure mix". I rarely smoke joints but this one (in orange paper) knocked me on my ass and stunk up the whole house. I'm going to add some Devastator to that mix soon. I smoke a J about 1/2 way then collect the rest for F1 joints Those are truly disgusting.

Ok, here is a picture of one of the topped TrainWreck i got going in the other table. They have been flipped for about a week. You can see the big U like shape and the multi bud sites. This was a test to see what the difference in topped and untopped. I have both going in the same table.

hey BG have ya seen the freakin monster bud pistolwhipt does of the TW. uses a pretty aggressive prune, but accomplishes some outstandin yield with his method.

gonna give it a try in this next run. DrJay got me started with toppin, pinchin and shapin in my last grow, and had a good 8 or more prime bud sites. I failed to remove enough trash along the stems. this next go at aggressive prunin may get my yield up were im needin it........PHAT

I haven't tried it yet, but i think i'm going to try it on the next run. I got a hugh NYCD mother that is just to big for the cabinet and i'm going to take a couple of cutting to replace her, but i'm going to transplant her to a 5 gal bucket and bud her out. She should be very hugh like some of BOG's plants. I'll try some trimming the lower stuff and see what it does to the main tops.

I too wasnt so happy w. the lsd's so I grew them outdoors earlier this yr. to not much avail. the tw's extra clones are finishing up this week. But got another tw scrog in 6th week using, who I see has already been mentioned, is Pistilwipt pruning method. It easily has doubled if not trippled the size of the regular topped method of growing tw. He's a friend and Ive seen his buds, they were WAY bigger than mine grown under same 1k light.

The server over there isn't working now. I'll check it later, but i'm up to any method of increasing the yield of this strain. Most of mine are growing straight up and i should try something different on the next full run. I'm running them under a 600HPS in a 3x3 Ebb&Flo.

WoW, I just read through some of that and that is an awesome thread. I'm going to give that a try on the next run. It make sense to only grow 6 tops and trim all the lower stuff below the main tops. It also opens up the plant to get better light . I'm going to give it a whirl and see what happens. But, from the way he talks about it, i can see denser buds forming and getting rid of the lower waste of energy.

Greenja, check these out. Been having problems with nutz and balancing out the two Thai and TrainWreck. I won't be doing this again and only run one at a time. Here are some better and updated pictures.

Thanks Dr. Jay. Just wish it was yielding more, but the next run is going to do better. I'm going to trim and train like Greenja showed me in that link and see how those do.

What's the Arcata Wreck? Never hear it called that before.

Arcata is in Northern Humboldt. It's the type of Wreck I'm most familiar with.

We too have pretty lousy yield but we boosted it by topping like crazy. We pinch to get as many grow points as possible. The trick is letting the Wreck veg long enough to produce in flower.

My buddy who is the "Wreck Master" still gets 3X the yield I do BUT mine is better tasting and stronger It all depends whether you're just growing for yourself or for others. He used "Odro" and I stick to a soil mix.

The "Aracata" variety has the classic lemon/mint/gasoline smell of Wreck. Have you tried it yet? It's SO distinctive.

Thanks, No i haven't tried it yet. I know what your talking about with the smell. It has that lemon smell and fuel smell also. I'm going to let them go till the end of them month and pull them. It might not be time, but they have to come out because their killing my Thai's. The Nutz levels are totally different with the two, but i think the TW will be very close to done. I got a microscope and will check it out. I already have about ten going now in another table, but i didn't see that thread on trimming and training till yesterday. One the next run, ill train the hell out of them and see how they do that way. Thanks for the help and info.

Well i got some good news. Today i was doing my rounds and noticed a few sited with seed pods where about to drop some seeds. SO, i carefully pluck them off. I got five seeds of the Male Thai x Female TrainWreck. This is going to be my Oriental Express seeds, once i BX it and produce seeds from that cross. I don't think i'm going to have many seeds from the first cross. So, these are not going to be availible till the first BX. I think this first BX is going to be in the 4:20 Growers cup also. Well, the seeds look nice, and have a super pattern to them. They are just tiny little seeds and might be taking after the Thai. I've heard of tiny little seeds from the Thai in the past, but never seen any like these. Here's a picture of them.

I couldn't help noticing the reference to Pistolwhipt at cannibus world who grows trainwreck. . . . I started tripping out. My handle (an original one I thought) is pistillwhipped I grow trainwreck!!!! But....I don't prune heavily.....I started thinking someone stole my pics till I went and looked ! How completely freaky!!!!

Not yet on the on the cigar boinkadoink. I still have to bring in what little on the seed crop in and dry it out. Then i'm going to go through all the buds and pick every last seed out. After that, i'm going to keep alittle bit for myself and give away the rest to fiends and people at work. This stuff is smelling awesome and the lemon smell it has is just to die for. Can't wait to smoke it for the very first time. I've never smoked any TW and this will be a first.

123P Welcome, I would never steal anyones photo's. If i use one, i state where it is from and the person it belongs to. They do look alike and I'm going to train on the next run and prune the hell out of the next run to see the difference. I got one more run going now that is unpruned and growing straight up. The buds are forming well, but they are super fast and are coming around to the end already. I still have yet to do a full run to write everything down for data, but will on the next run. I certainly wasn't implying that you...or anyone....had stolen my pics. If that was your impression please accept my very humble apologies. I never meant anything like that. I was just surprised to see a reference to pistolwhipt growing TW, as I am also a pistillwhipped...growing TW.

Anyway....about my hermaphrodism problem..... my fault. This is my first hydro grow, and I jumped in head first without doing enough research. Made a lot of stress inducing mistakes on the poor girl... it's a wonder she made it through alive at all. This strain has been soooooo stable until this particular plant. All cloned from my very first plant. So ...I've learned.
