That's highly unlikely. The tracking page doesn't even require a login. It's a public page that anyone can view. Police aren't going to contact your ISP and then bust down doors and waste money over an IP address that could very well NOT belong to you.
Especially when they can just follow the seeds to your door step. That would make way more sense.
Why would they come to your house before you even have anything illegal in your possession? You probably didn't even start your grow yet (without seeds) and you can easily defend yourself in court because they have no proof you ordered them.
You are acting as if they have rules they follow or something. There are merely 'guidelines' for them. Why would the tracking page require login for them to get your home IP addy? well, it wouldn't.
and this only applies to people who did everything perfect EXCEPT checking the tracking number page from their grow location.
Do you know how many combinations of tracking numbers there are? and how often they are stumbled upon by people who dont own them? I'm fairly sure the log is quite obvious...
Lets see, you shipped to another house in your town, then they see your IP on the tracking number page. Even if 100 other people checked that tracking page, you are identifiable by your location.... Boom, heashot, grow location uncovered.
Your computer when seized during a raid = their proof of your purchase. And why would people who enjoy smoking weed not have anything illegal in their possession?
However, you are right. I do not believe this to be a common scenario, this is merely for people who want to make sure. and IMO, thats everyone who is smart. If you are the kinda person who likes to take risks that involve being incarcerated or worse, well thats anyone's prerogative.
and when is the last time a pig cared about "wasting taxpayers' money"... hardly any skin off their nose imo. again, just my opinions, anyone can take it or leave it.
If anything they'd likely only do it if they thought they were onto something big. But you can't assume the cops are going to follow the rules of engagement. I would say you were safer (and more accurate) to assume the opposite.
If people would like to assume that cops dont use infrared. Then assume they dont. hell its illegal, why would they do that... oh.. wait...
then of course there is a million ways they can cover it. an anonymous 'witness' told them. Thats how they can see your thermal abnormalities..
Im just letting some people know that it isn't IMPOSSIBLE, and to take proper precautions to prevent anything you can. Because swine are dirty dirty creatures and they will do anything they want, and then lie that some "protected" witness told them. Who in reality is likely some crack head who they use as everyone's witness.
call me paranoid. thats fine. I just see vectors of attack. and people should sever as many vectors of attack as possible.
