thank Christ the builders gone. quite.
So me & my mom were going to enjoy some Chinese food, we pull into a parking spot (I'm driving), we sat and finish our conversation before heading in. In the meanwhile a car pulled in next to us on moms side, an African American couple who were also finishing their conversation before getting out of their car.
Mom exited the passenger door and closed it, at the moment she closed her door the guy who was driving opened his, I can only guess he didn't hear moms door closing as his conversation and noise from his door masked any noise from moms.
As he (and his girlfriend) stepped out of his car I could see that he stood about 6'3" or so, mom was sort of caught in place from walking away by his open door, so she just stood there a few moments waiting for him to shut it. As he shut the door and turned (toward mom) to walk away he finally noticed her. Upon seeing my mom he let out a girly type shriek and his feet left the ground in his shock.
All four of us immediately saw the irony in the situation and we burst out laughing hard, very hearty laughs indeed, I looked at his girlfriend and told her that she now had some juice to tell his friends and family; as we all sat in the restaurant eating whenever we exchanged glances huge grins broke out on our faces.
Stereotypes were shattered that night, my mom's gone now, she passed in '09, and although this wasn't one of the emotional moments we shared and turned into memories it sure as hell was one of the funniest, I'll never forget that night.......

I work with guy - nice guy - also a puffer of herb. We've not had the chance to puff together, but it's on the schedule.
He tells me his son - mid 20's - has aspiration to home grow & I happen to have small collection of retail beans I've acquired over years. Hey, I say, I'll bring in my collection, your kid can pick some good genetics to grow.
Finally get my collection back - almost 2 months later - fucking kid took 2/3 of it. Almost my entire collection this fucking kid decides is now his. I say to his Dad, you know your boy was supposed to choose from the beans, not choose MOST of the beans.
He shrugs & says nothing.
Fuuuuck! Try to help someone & they bone you right up the ass.

Kaylee passed away last night. I knew it was coming but I was really hoping she had more time, i went in her room and she was ice cold and blue the coroner just took her away. any of you guys that have kids give em a big hug for me and take em out for ice cream or whatever kinda treat they like.

I went to see my doctor yesterday and asked her to recommend me for the mmj program here in Minnesota, she made no objection at all and knowing her for nearly 20 years I can read her face extremely well, she said she'd look up the proper protocol as nobody's asked her before and would then make the recommendation to enroll me.
the mmj program here sucks btw, it doesn't allow for any smoke-able leaf cannabis but state run dispensaries sell it in an oil form to be used with vaporizer pens.......

"From seizure patients to patients that need more THC in their medicines, we have the full spectrum available in all forms. Capsules, oils and tinctures."
Minnesota Medical Solutions' only state-licensed competitor, LeafLine Labs, says it offers four varieties of medical cannabis: capsule, syrup, oil and tincture/spray formats. LeafLine's first dispensary will open in Eagan Wednesday morning. Between the two companies, six more dispensaries are planned throughout the state.
our governor (Mark Dayton) claimed that allowing smoke-able mmj would confuse the law enforcement community, I wonder if that's code for 'the cops in Minnesota are dimwits'. The other benefit to me being enrolled is that if I'm ever caught growing that I can use a medical need for weed as a defense, if you're not enrolled in the program you cannot present a mmj defense at trial.
The nearest dispensary to me is 388 miles round trip. the lack of dispensaries is due to the lack of registered patients, the lack of patients is due to the stringent conditions that qualify patients, when I last checked there were only 537 registered patients in the state.......

My deepest sympathies go out to you and I'll pray you have the strength to make it thru the rough times ahead. From what I've seen you post I don't get the impression she suffered much. I know that's poor compensation for the good times you hoped you still had but perhaps you can find some comfort in it?
