just got a call @ 2:15am, a friend in our local stoner network warning me of a massive police roadblock, state patrol mostly & targeting only one individual
I heard 6 or 7 patrol cars roar past my place but that's not uncommon in some emergency situations around here. Officers up here usually do a whole lot of nothing 'cuz ain't nothin' going on, so when there's some action happening they all want a piece of it 
A saying that I'm fond of is:
When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.
and that's very true around here, typical response time to my home would be 30-45 minutes depending a few variables. we often can't wait for times like those, any situation that has any urgency to it might cut the time to a flat 20 minutes, I'd surely be armed and ready to defend myself & my property, I can't afford to lose either.......
