well, the US Army inflicted so many deaths on native americans in the mid to late 1800s that they essentially lost their religions. no medicine men, most elders killed, children forcibly indoctrinated at govt schools....

In New England they have this huge fair every year called The Big E. They have these Roasted Beer nuts, with a caramelized coating, they come out warm from where you can see them through the glass.
