Topsy Turvy Indoor Grow! You Know You Wanted to See It!

My mom had one of these. She planted tomatos in the dead heat of summer. Dead in less than 3 days. Now its laying on the side of the house. I guess i will have to help her. Cant wait to see someone do the cha cha chia LST grow.:bigeye:

Its just fun watching that thing grow upside down.

Oh, in your early post you asked about the yellow ribbon/webbing on the inside. I didn't see your question answered. Its there for strength to hold the whole thing together. That webbing is like a small version of a seat belt. Very strong w/out taking up a lot of volume.

Thanks for the smiles.

Saw those in the local store, so glad someone is trying it out. Would be a very cool lowryder2 rig.

FINALLY!! but i would suggest you let the plant get adjusted to growin normally Then turn it over. i might be mistaken but it looks like you expect that dear plant to root upside down as an addition

whoops, looks like it turned out fine, but doesnt it make ya wonder if what i mentioned has something to do with why this ones growin slower

Found this thread recommended by someone in the "Upside Down Cannabis?????" thread. Very cool what I've seen so far.
but....

There hasn't been a post in almost 5 months?
Any update Lola Girl? Or is the plant kaput?

Just curious...
Are you hot? Your picture strikes me as something a pretty preppy girl would use.

But then again my friends mom likes tigger.....

Powdery mildew took down this grow.

What I learned.

Don't do this indoors, as water pours out the bottom, down the buds, and goes all over.

It is going to be hard for the buds to get wet every time you water.

This is very very messy.

Outdoors, it would be much better.

Indoors... nope, ain't gonna do it again. too messy.

Well I bought one of these things the other day in hopes to try a tomato plant out this summer.

It is a small bag...like you said about a gallon. I think some of the idea is to get the root zone warm enough to explode. Prolly water it 3 times a day in the July/Aug heat.

Thanks for posting your toils with it. I hope my tomato plant makes out better. But my hopes aren't as high as they are for my new raised beds!!!!

Thx again Lola.

actually my friend picked up a knock-off of these a while back. its probably 4 times bugger and has 2 or 3 holes going up the length of it, about every quarter turn. so it as about 12 or 16 holes....

It also has NO HOLES at the bottom, and i told him not to poke any for some of the reasons stated, though the plants at the bottom are doing the worst..obviously slat buildup or too much water..

In any case..most of his grew out and turned up towards the light...dunno why the ones here dont do that, all of his just righted theirselves and are facing upwards..he ended up w a shitload of males but probably got 3 or 4 fems in it right now

If I remember right..his was labeled as a STRAWBERRY planter

there is a foam piece that holds the plant in place. This is located at the bottom of the turvy, obviously.

The water escapes through the foam and drips everywhere! Then it runs down the buds, and this encourages bud rot and powdery mildew.

Sorry, I can't... I can't...

*I just can't fight this feeeeeeeeeeeeeelin anyyyyymorrre*

I ran these some time ago. Here are some finished pics. No issues with hermies. I ran my Sweet Tooth#3 x Warlock and Love Potion#2 in the Topsy Turvys! Nice phat buds!!

Very easy to use and it was fun to watch them grow.
