Let them wallow in the filth they create. I laugh now when i read about hipsters in Austin bitching that it took the cops two hours to show up when their juice bar got vandalized. Floyd was a tragedy but no police force is just crazy and the minority communities have far more to lose from it

Floyd was murdered, and yes, some police depts ARE crazy. they still think we live in the pre-Civil rights era and that whatever they do will be backed up by local govt. sadly, they are frequently proven correct. they are largely free to kill unarmed non-violent citizens with impunity.

hey well i'm from the third world and i live here, or second i'm not sure, more specifically just south of uncle sam. ha ha
There is no such thing, there is only one fucking world, that is, obviously there is a lot of other but we only live here, together with the little spiders, the dolphins, the chestnuts, the covid, the platypus, and the mushrooms.
And the only thing that differentiates us "third world" humans from you "first world" humans, apart from money and a series of comforts, is that our history is linked to the most screwed up side of the colonial experience, that is reflected in our rotten institutions (it's not that your institutions are less rotten, they just smell better), the violence, our social hierarchies, etc.


Don't take it personally friends, but so that you could live your lives relatively comfortable, entire societies lived in discomfort, or at least that is the discourse that the CIA used to carry out coups, to destroy everything that smacked of social change. in Latin America (or if you are European, in Africa, ask Lumbumba)

So I do not know. It seems to me that the scenario you fear is my daily life and that of the people around me. On the other hand, I don't know, the Native American reservations in the USA don't seem very "first world" to me.

On a human level I can empathize, I suppose, with the uncertainty of the ordinary gringo, the feeling that something you took for granted in your life is slipping away (I miss you... sniff, sorry flashbacks)... on a level geopolitical not so much.

It doesn't matter anyway, environmental collapse will come sooner and perhaps that will show that there are no first or third worlds, just one, and perhaps our deformed mutant descendants will build fairer and more balanced societies, in the post-Anthropocene nuclear wasteland
