This is all a sucker deal. folks and there shall be no winners other than those who invested in weapons systems -
and given the nature of our society- who else matters.
Make no bones about it we are being towed into yet another senseless conflict, by those who have made a
science of this stuff.
What we do over there always comes home to us.
Our war is not with those in Russia or China and never has been.
Our war is with a small group of families who have long wished to replace democracy with something
far more profitable to them: authoritarian or strong man regime.
We are being prepped for exactly that as republicans' candidates are openly saying they will ignore the will of the people
to install who they wish.
Our battle is here, and it is to have representation period. When our politician's are listening to the well heeled, they are
not going to be doing a damned thing for us. Which has been the case for a long time here.
We are being conditioned for war.

It's certainly the default position of US Arms Contractors and weapons industy. Has been for a LONG time.
Ike tried to warn us. but, did we listen? noooo. our politicians just HAD to have planes, ships, nuclear weapons etc. all of that neat shit was built in influential congressional districts to funnel money to the compliant/complicit co-conspirators.... we are now reaping over 70 years worth of not paying any damn attention.

ORWELL OFFERED WRITERS' BLACKLIST TO ANTI-SOVIET PROPAGANDA UNIT

Bernard Crick, Orwell's biographer, confirmed yesterday that Orwell had kept a "notebook of suspects" containing 86 names. "Many were plausible, a few were far-fetched and unlikely," he said. Michael Foot, a friend of Orwell's in the 1930s and 1940s, said he found the letter "amazing".

"There's been a lot of argument about him deserting his socialism at the end of his life. I don't think that's true, but I'm very surprised he was dealing with the secret services in any form."

The papers show that the IRD promoted the foreign language publication of Animal Farm, Orwell's classic anti-communist allegory. "The idea is particularly good for Arabic in view of the fact that both pigs and dogs are unclean animals to Muslims," noted an embassy official in Cairo.

Who are the real nazis?
Given the principals behind this conflict, one can anticipate seeing one well managed atrocity on top of another, each
engineered to generate more fuel to the fire.
With 3 presidents in a row pushing Europe into taking our LNG as opposed to the Russian Norstream product,
this is a classic example of a conflict which was planned well ahead of time.

There is interesting content within on the deputy from FL who made a copy of the material in the safe and took it over to Russia
where he did sell it. He now resides in Russia. A picture of our former deputy:

Between Jon Stewart and the DoDs backing at Disney World, we must be backing the good guys this time.
Pay no attention to things like their fascist tattoos , they mean nothing, which of course is why they were
kept covered to the extent they were.
No shortage of those who do choose to notsee the Nazi element, as has been the case here for one hell of a long time.
How long, you asked, and I will tell you that I have been able to trace it back as far as the Dulles brothers
sitting in at the Treaty of Versailles on behalf of Brown Bros Harriman.
Which is to say that the rise of Hitler was financed by the principals of Brown Bros Harriman.
For those who are not familiar with who that might be, was they who attempted the coup on FDR. They also provided this country with a compromised supreme court, a tea party, Trump as President, and a fucking Jan 6th insurrection, with more being promised.
They also blew the brains out of those who might have been in a position to seek change.

We live in a society where any number of books get written, one book that was never written was how the agency went
after those who involved with the Church Commission.
The agency did not go after the principals. They went after their supporting staff and investigators.
They were, effective enough that one no longer ever hears calls to have the agency reeled in.
The agency gets extra cookies, breakfast lunch and dinner.
The appropriate response being an accommodating smile as the crumbs are swept up.

please explain why trying to avoid having our allies in Europe relying on Russia for their fuel is a bad idea. or is blackmail cool now? just wondering...:shucks:

A perfect example of Putin’s genocide.
Exactly how many excuses for murder are you going to make?

‘Dear Friends’ Xi and Putin: Project Unity

by Ray McGovern Posted onSeptember 16, 2022
In the official Chinese and Russian statements regarding Thursday’s meeting between Presidents XI Jinping and Vladimir Putin in Samarkand lies not a scintilla of evidence that China’s support for Putin’s invasion of Ukraine has weakened.
In my view, if Putin decides to up the ante in Ukraine, XI would be likely to support him. Most analysts of China doubt that this would extend to China’s stirring up trouble in the South China Sea or opposite Taiwan, but most Chinese analysts did not expect China to tolerate, much less endorse, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. So your guess is as good as mine.
Underneath the ‘Dear Friend’ professions of solidarity lies a concrete-reinforced commitment, so to speak, indeed a China-Russia entente that bespeaks an intention to coordinate closely – including before any major military initiatives against the U.S. or its proxies.
Some of the mutual statements of solidarity may sound boilerplate, but it is important to remember that the boilerplate has acquired additional steel reinforcement, so to speak, in the crucible of this year 2022. Each country has pledged strong support for the other’s "core interests" – for Russia, re. Ukraine; for China, re. Taiwan.
The "core interest" mutual support was given prominence in the official Chinese readout of the Putin-Xi conversation:
"President XI emphasized that China will work with Russia to extend strong mutual support on issues concerning each other’s core interests….
"President Putin noted that the world is undergoing multiple changes, yet the only thing that remains unchanged is the friendship and mutual trust between Russia and China.
"The Russia-China comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination is as stable as mountains. … The Russian side is firmly committed to the one-China principle and condemns provocative moves by individual countries on issues concerning China’s core interests. Russia will consolidate and deepen bilateral and multilateral communication and collaboration with China and expand cooperation in key areas such as trade and energy."

In his remarks, Putin emphasized the "key role" played by "the foreign policy tandem of Moscow and Beijing" in ensuring global and regional stability and took another potshot at the undefined "rules-based" order promoted by Washington. He also expressed appreciation for "our Chinese friends’ balanced position in connection with the Ukraine crisis."
Putin also fleshed out the progress in Russia’s trade with China:
"Last year, trade grew by 35 percent to over $140 billion. In the first seven months of this year, our trade increased by another 25 percent. I am convinced that by the end of the year we will reach new record high levels, and in the near term, as agreed, we will bring our annual trade to $200 billion or more."
On a personal note, in the early 60s when I was responsible for analyzing Sino-Soviet relations, mutual trade amounted to $200 million. Granted: bilateral relations back then were in the pits. But still, $200 million to $200 billion is something we never imagined in our wildest dreams.
The Chinese and Russians can thank the reckless-feckless team of Secretary of State Antony Blinken and national security adviser Jake Sullivan, as well as their immediate predecessors for helping that increase to be as large as it it.
Finally, right after the Xi-Putin meeting yesterday, ABC’s Martha Raddatz read the following words of wisdom into the TV camera:
"Given what has happened in Ukraine, with Russia losing territory and its forces exposed as weak and hapless, even if Russia gets nothing [from XI], the meeting will signal an anti-Western bond which is significant – it IS significant."
I believe Martha got that last part right. We shall have to wait and see how this all plays out regarding Ukraine and Taiwan.
