Soo stoked on all these responses ! really glad I started the thread. I wasnt implying that it was about who the absolute "best " is .... more just a thread to see how many similar and dissimilar opinions every one has. Some truly incredible replys so far... no one is more right than anyone else. I would love to see some of the "top" breeders who are on here's lists'.

To be the best breeder you need to be in one of the sweetspots and be the best grower.
No indoor breeder could ever get results as good as Bushweed, no matter how talented he is.

I agree for the most part. I have been to South America before, and what we had as "tropical houseplants" here in the US where giant trees down there. The three foot shrubs at my house where 25 feet tall in Brazil.

The herb in Brazil was much diferent then say herb from Mexico. I can smell Brazilian shwag from a mile away. They did have "hydro" but it was harder to get. My friends from there say certain times of year outstanding outdoor comes around but I did not stay long enough to find any.

My opinion is so bias because I've not ventured out to other big name (heirloom quality) breeders. But I can say that with everything I've got from bodhi, I've never had anything I didn't like... so if it aint broke don't fix it...

I've got bodhi gear in flower right now that matches my elites in frostiness, and motarebel gear that outfrosts my strongest elites. These are two breeders to keep an eye on, they put out fire gear

I'm not trying to sound like a kiss ass, but he's got some amazing stuff. first thing of his I've ever grown was the Dream Lotus, and that was amazing... and prices of great genetics being steep (for my pocket), I've always stuck with his name, because I've yet to be let down and he's on some of the cheaper to mid price range.

with all that being said, I'm never opposed to trying new things. I've grown a bunch of the freebies I've received with orders just to try it out. and a there are a lot of them that have been AMAZING. but I'm not going to base my opinion of a breeder on just one seed, of one strain. :)

I think it's almost harder to make a crummy cross than a good one, that's my pollen chucking experience anyway.

that's really good to hear... I gave pollen chucking my first attempt a few months back... I've yet to pop any of the seeds. But I am excited to see what comes from them!

Females I've crossed with a good looking Blue Tara male (bodhi):
GDP Purple Dream x Blue Tara
Dream Lotus x Blue Tara
and Underdawg OG (THSeeds) x Blue Tara

I'm most excited about the GDP x Blue Tara... I think it could have a pretty killer combo. We shall see!

Unknown Growers 1 to 1,000,000

Example ==> Cotton Candy Cane

Blueberry Headband x Sweet Tooth #3

It's like a collaboration between DJ Short and Breeder Steve.

I just put a Fem CCCane bean into a wetted peat pot :woohoo:

plus OMG - how about the Oregon Collaboration that resulted in Williams Wonder ? We may never know those breeder's names, but I'm hearing people asking even now about Williams Wonder.

I guess they could be unknown growers 1 & 2.

Long list :peacock:
