This is probably the easier path and one I expect to be very rewardingI'm going to cut all the Colombians, keep only the Thai ones in pollination

Hell yeah @StickyBandit. Then find someone who finds a mexican posi with trich stems to the trunk, make the cross. Then hit Tom up and ask him if he's missing a set of keys.Maybe I should. There's only one male I would select for Glowgirl, Prettygirl and about 2 others with nice traits. The Thais can fend for themselves...

I appreciate this info. I have a pack of A5 Haze x Mirakel Thai seeds that I’ve been holding onto for 15 years. I love reading through these Sativa threads. I think I want to try to pop these seeds!Out of the A5 x Mirakel Thai crosses I have grown, I would say most lean pretty heavily toward Thai expressions. I'm not super familiar with Colombian, but I don't think I have found a Colombian pheno our of any of the A5 x Mirakel Thai hybrids. So I definitely believe that.
I don't know if I will be able to identify the Thai and Colombian Fenugreek
I'm sure you'll have no trouble at all, you'll find lots of time to stare at them, trust meYou'll have to help me hahaha
Would be an interesting exercise but lots of work and lots of clones to keep until a conclusion is reachedI would select the best Thai type male and female and make seed, I would also do the same with the Colombian side.
I would also then use a Colombian type female and pollinate her with a Thai type male.
Then pollinate a Thai type female and cross a Colombian type male to her.
If you add the open pollination, you would end up with 5 different seed lines.
That could be great but I think @Tom Hill is doing stellar work just keeping it alive for us over the decadesHell yeah @StickyBandit. Then find someone who finds a mexican posi with trich stems to the trunk, make the cross. Then hit Tom up and ask him if he's missing a set of keys.
Excellent job and a legacy grow imho8 weeks in
Have completed 2x pollinations so far and will do at least one more to offset the pollen that that got into the tent during early watering when I was removing each plant and watering on the scales to aid root development. The scales are dead now, drowned
The two main phenos are easily identified but there's a few in between

You're too generous bud, I'm just growing out a pack of someone elses seed. I'm very fortunate to have themExcellent job and a legacy grow imho
I listen to what Tom says, that's why my priority is doing a seed increase as close to an open pollination as possible first and foremost. Anything after that is just having a little fun and seeing what the ACTUAL results are. I'm not removing any plants at all for the seed increase run, just trying to get equal opportunity for all the malesY’all need some education in genetics.
you have no clue what you talking about

I dig your style Amigo!Nevil said : "I wouldn't swear on a kilo of Haze hash that..."

You may want to consider not cutting anything for the seed increase if that's one of your goals, you can always reveg selectively after, or keep clones...I'm going to cut all the Colombians, keep only the Thai ones in pollination
Hey GK, this is a valuable contribution bud , thanks for the inputYou are doing a great a job and I am enjoying the watching the progress.
i was referring to people who dont understand that when you when mate two organism, the progeny will always be 50/50 genetically.
a Thai or Colombian looking plant still has the genetics of the other mixed varieties.
genes that effect morphology are different genes than what dictate effects.
who here has smoked enough Thai and Colombian landrace varieties to be able to tell just from effects?
Thai weed can be mellow and Colombian can be stimulating and vice versa
I've read Tom likes the green apple/ sour mangothh #2 stem smelling like mango
thh #1 is the biggest so far and the one with no smell on the stem
I can't identify the others
I don't know either, but it could be the high pHI've read Tom likes the green apple/ sour mango
How do you keep them short? mine grow like bamboo
Just let the pollen fly one last time, massive cloud! Will be doing a male chop probably tomorrow and take a few clones. I found one more general leaf type too, maybe 4 or 5 girls and with scraggly looking buds with lots of single leaves protruding, maybe reminiscent of another parent?? View attachment 19121321
