It's because any plant that spends a shitliad of energy replacing its chlorophyll with anthocyanin waisted a bunch of energy it could have used on cannabinoid production. Not to mention purple pigments only photosynthesize like 20% as efficiently as chlorophyll. Take GDP and grow it in a warm environment and it will come out way stronger then if you let it waist time turning purple in a cold one.

But in 40 years of growing, I never seen a purple plant that was really good. The worst are them ditch weed Dutch plants that go purple from the inside out.

Tom, I’m looking to grow my 100 in a relatively small indoor set up. How do you manage/control height etc? I’m assuming small pots, maybe cooler temps, and cutting back hard? I only need each plant to yield enough to adequately sample.
Or grow in stages I guess, if it’s not practical.

You can not breed auto flower plants because if you are ever accidentally successful you can not repeat it because the parents are dead, as in dead lol. I swear it's like somebody dropped a lot of you fuckers on your heads when you were young.

I am growing 254 now in a 8x16ft scenario with a single 1000w halide so there really is no excuse man. Yes, small pots, torture them at all turns, tame the shrew. You know the answers to these questions before you asked them.
