The first parental generation for Cannabis was about 20+- million years ago in/around the Tibetan plateau. Since then, brothers and sisters have been successfully breeding together in succeeding generations for millenniums of time without any assistance from man, being a relative newcomer on the block. Doin okay at that, so it goes. When "blending" different native or landrace stock, some would call that a "hybrid", of which is what Haze is about too.

Really is not so important to call something a name as to understand how is was derived. Like with Tom's described current project, brothers and sisters are apparently being used. I grew up during the same time, and this was how it was done then, and for decades and centuries before either of us arrived. The Thai weed then was certainly ass kicker, just ask any of the guys in Nam then, who used it to supress fear and cope when sent out on night patrol.

As I believe Tom has correctly described, and this should be obvious, the greater number of plants that you can use, the better, in open pollination breeding, especially when you are attempting to bring back or retain a genetic line or ibl line, using genetic material (seeds) that may be older. Trying to do plant breeding, using very limited stock, is very often going to miss out on important genetic coding, because of lack of diversification and consequently availability.

It looks like Tom, from all his pictures, and his decades long wealth of experience, is doing just that. We should all applaud his efforts, both past and present, with much sincere gratitude. Without gatekeepers like Tom, who understood before many of us were even born, the importance of keeping and improving these closely held genetic lines, these valuable pure genetic stocks would be all but lost. Looking forward to the goodness in six weeks time.

Most of you guys are not qualified 😂 at c99, jack h, trainwreck, calio, all of it is glorified Mexican stick to that.
The original Jack is not the later Jack.
The original Jack Herer composition had instability and was reworked into another line (SSH). I found this out later.
I bought some of the originals at Sensi Adam and grew them out a few seeds at a time over several years along with others varieties. The last 2 seeds were a gorgeous heavy yielder female and a male that indicated sex after the female. He was huge with the longest fingered fans I have ever seen. The fingers weren't the very skinniest but were super long with the end part twisted. Very unique and obviously a tropical sativa throwback from ancestry. I didn't know the fact at the time that the strain was instable, this was 10 years before. Have you ever seen the twisted leaf ends?
So what was the instability? Its obvious that a Haze ancestor was coming out of the Jack Herer cross (looking back from my experience).
At the time I tried to cross him with whatever females I had going outdoors and he produced some really really good individuals. It was all good back then but I didn't know then what I know now of the value of such an individual plant. The seeds were lost before I found out what that plant was.

Another Throwback Haze from a really good hybrid. It took almost 10 weeks to indicate sex (male).
A favorite recommendation from breeders back in the day was to discard to longer flowering Haze hybrids as impractical. I saw the situation completely the opposite, I threw the shorter flowerer away and kept only the most hazy of the hybrids.
I have no idea if my hunches on this particular plant are correct (I've been wrong before) until I see his daughters. This is why few do sativa breeding, the turn around cycle to separate the outstanding ones is so much longer.

And we still need something that adds up to more than a Hill O'beans! Tom.

........Get your #1 tester on point [flower-power] :smokey:

You can do this right here ...Move on Son!

Look @ the albums of that ICmag haze he ran for johnny...Its full size 15ft plants

Anti-Gypsy commentary falls short here Tom Hill,

.He stood up to real Authority and saved this place!

If he had not resisted those cops trying to push him on to plane to USA via DEA

There would be No ICmag,,,,,,,,

He could have gone to America ...modern facilities...@ Federal Country Club

He could have gone the easy way...

He chose the bullet to the back of the head

Just remember that when your mouthing off around here

I know he doesn't need me here to defend him... however,

Lets just cling to the edge of reality shall we.... Tom Hill?

We have a saying around here maybe you've seen it....

"Fuck 'Em!"

Try it...You'll like it!

Let it Go.

and I like this Tom hill now I've settled to who he is and what he's about..I've seen recent posts where he was quoting he hasn't been well so I think health agitation is more the reason he sharks like he does..sometimes acting that way is a barrier to what's really going on..despite that he's doing fit cause and purpose in helping the community with just getting cats high so I sort of ignore the rants and research what he's doing...I've stuck up gooeybreeders ass for 2 decades because the older cats are the only real entry into finding true candidates worthy of note for the mass audience..they know shit, and are connected to that inner circle all the growers worldwide are constantly seeking...I'd say there's maybe 5 hideously ugly oil signatures arranged through all the weed you ever saw and smoked like forever and yet even they now are getting washed....generations of shit tactics and money breeders paying stake to all of it...you have to nit pick through all the bullshit and the bright lights of an inbred seed bank stageshow to find anything note worthy which invariably there isn't because its rothchilds inbred generic run once and forget champagne high shit!!!!...if toms brings back notable entries that are talked of and highly regarded in high tolerance arenas then fuck me just give the guy a carpet to walk on..the weed world in a shit enough state as it is...!!!!!
Yeah, THH is a lot more interesting than what those other guys are peddling.. can't tom just sell a bunch of seeds and laugh in their faces? Everyone's growing tired of the same commerical crap everywhere. Funny to see so many flocking to the older lines now. Kids at the dispos all looking for NL nowadays. Too funny, but a welcome change indeed. Let's get high.

If you want to apply community pressure, everyone who supports tom getting paid, don't visit this site, don't buy from the shops and see if there is enough people to make them care, just a thought if the unsolicited advice is being dolled out.
........... if yer gonna start a campaign to boycott ICMag because of something involving Chimera, the best place to start is beanbasement, not here! :cautious:

What type of Haze is this? Columbian,Mex or Thai and what about South Indian haze it is cradle of potent weed on earth and nothing good from there ?,I smoked with some refugee very good cut of SLH before few years he told me that this is straight like their jungle weed grom Kerala rocket high.I read that around 1800 Indian hemp was used as remedy in old England...and it was very psydelic back than. Also White Widow is made half of South Indian and it is radicilus pungent on sandalwood incense while burn.
All myths about crazy strong Thai comes from US and wars in SE Asia.
We all know that with all psydelics sorounding we are in while we consume them have great impact.
