Do you know offhand what the laws are regarding 911 hangups? ie, can an officer get a search warrant if they receive a 911 hangup and you won't let them in?

I don't even have a landline, so I'm not too worried, but curious nonetheless

That's the smartest route. Not having a landline is the first step. The laws depend on which state you're in, but most states give police authority to enter a residence if there is a domestic disturbance call or a 911 hang up.

This can include neighbors calling the police, so if you're in a relationship learn how to argue silently.

Also, watch out for noise complaints. There's nothing that will get you popped quicker than a sub-woofer in a smogged out room. Personally, I have a set of good headphones. This gives me a great excuse for never answering my door.

It turns out, she did have to speak to the police. I read another article related to this bust, and a neighbor called in a suspected robbery, when it was actually two people moving in. The boyfriend wasn't home at the time, but he will end up facing charges. (Unless she was some type of badass bitch and gave the LEO a completely false identity.)

So, the police suspected her as a robber in a vacant house.

The sit out at hydro stores and then go do a knock and talk who fits the police profile. In Florida is a 25-55 year old Cuban male.

I have yet to see anyone at my local hydro store that looks legit. I frequently see males in their late 20's in there dropping three large in cash on lighting, tables and nutes. Even the store manager looks like he just finished doing 30 years at folsom. If I were LEO I'd park across the street and follow people home. For this reason I usually make 2-3 stops after going to the hydro store and watch for cars following.
