Tjo' the H2o2 always works for me when i have uncontrollable summer res temps(i have no chiller), PH starts to Dive with 75-80f res temps, i hit with a week of H2o2, problem solved! im glad you got to the bottom of your head-ache!

Best o Luck bro! :)

no problem..3 days i have stable ph
i dont know nothing about others nutes expept the gh 3 parts.
how much ec has your tap water?? mine has 0,3.
i made some thoughts about adding some tap water but i never did it.
also i would like 2 say that i have a single dwc bucket only with water pump-without air stone- and the plants are great!
tell me,in a sustem like mine with 6 buckets, you think 6 water pumps are problem for high temps??
thanks

Tjo my tap is about 200-300 ppm, Using hardwater nutes as my water is hard. Cool, the water pump is working for you! One 800-1200 gph pump can run six tree buckets. I'm using Heath's system.
Scroger, hardwater ionic grow got my girls a great green color, used a little peroxide after a fiasco w/ vinegar for ph down. For flower ionic bloom , boost, and some silica.

Hey Bro, i think ive found out why & you were correct bro, well i think im just double checking, but Sulphuric/sulphrious acid has H2+ ions to 1- ion, so 2+positive cations to 1- negative anion making it a good buffer(as i understand it??), as long as its kept in the right PH range with the right ion balance looks like great stuff. Im still studyingit, (about time i got to really understanding the chemistry here-not exactly a strong point of mine). Im gonna post this next link i put up & a scientific PH calculator in the appropriate forum.

Check this out, great read, on my 3rd pass of it now, only another 50 reads & i may understand it(scroll down to PH&alkalinity & read on bro) but do read it all & bookmark etc! : http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/gh_kh_ph.php

Wicked shit,:)

There is a reason why hydro companies dont sell sulphuric as a PH down in the main stream hobby/horti sector, but i aint sure what it is yet! obviously Nitric for veg & Phosphoric for bloom is beneficial, as long as you watch phosphate build up, a Con to using phosphoric, but there are alot of pro's too. Ionic is well PH buffered anyway & your using HW formula & Sulphuric, sounds like a winning Combo & very buffered to me.

LOL, This is gonna take some time!

Scrogerman it's great to seek and find knowledge! Good to see you are breaking it down to the facts. I stumbled on some other growers somewhere can't remember, who had figured out the same thing. I barely understand it from a scientific viewpoint, but I know how well it works in real life. I cant see myself buying hydro ph down as I go through gallons of the diluted mix. From my studies and experience nitric acid is unstable, and phosphoric acid ph down can be bad in veg. Most are phosphoric based and the nitric ph isn't readily available. I swear the sulphuric dilution is less caustic to my skin than hydro ph down. It truly fuckin rocks with ionic and my 200 plus ppm hard tap water, No precipitation crystal clear. My r.o. machine is feeling lonely.

If you look back toward the beginning of this discussion you will recall that Sulfur has only six electrons in its valence shell seeking two electrons to fill its shell. Since each Hydrogen atom has only one, it takes two Hydrogen atoms to sate Sulfurs appetite. Hydrogen Sulfide is written as "H2S indicating two atoms and one Sulfur atom. So what happens to this wonderful '.H2S when it is dumped into water? Since it is another ionic compound, it breaks up into one S- ion and two H+ ions. This increases the number of H+ ions by doing their little s1am-dance in the water. This in turn increases the number of incidents where H+ and OH- ions find each other and combine to become water.

That article kicked up my understanding a few notches, There is so much knowledge of water in the fishkeeping communty. Thanks Scroger! Amazing article

We have already briefly mentioned Hydrogen Sulfide and that each molecule of the stuff has one S- ion and two H+ ions. The two + charges are needed to offset the single atom with the -2 charge. One anion but two cations. Some of these anions are very quick to react with hydrion, and to eliminate it from the equilibrium between hydrion and hydrate ions. These fast-acting anions are called buffers.

Other anions can also cause alkalinity. Commercial pH "set and hold" additives are based on Phosphate. I don't particularly care for this stuff because it can lead to algae blooms. One family of plants I seem to have no problem growing is algae.

What this leads me to believe , is that by using sulphuric acid as ph down I am less likely too have algae blooms than people using traditional phosporic acid ph down. My res is super clear!

I) You can't lower pH and keep KH high. It simply won't work.

2) The more stuff you add to your water without evaluating the chemical makeup, the further you will get from what you really want.

3) Most of what you add to the water will raise conductivity, and upset your soft water fish.

Most importantly remember the "KISS" (Keep It Simple Stupid) rule. Ask about different approaches to solving your water parameter problems. When someone hands you a bottle of .'Super Fix-It-All" and can't define how it works in terms of the ionic soup, go elsewhere and ask someone else. The answers are there and sometimes it takes a lot of homework to find them. Now you have the understanding needed to search along a more fruitful path to find your answers. Water in every area is a little different and each of us has a need to figure out what is best for our circumstances.

This could be applied to growers who use lotsa additives

Tjo hope you don't mind all the qoutes they are from the article Scrogerman recommended.
I hope you find the info helpful. Gotta love cichlids mean little fuckers.
I need to read that a lot more to understand it all, but that's some serious info!
So from what I understood sulphuric acid creates a harmonious balance between anions and cations without throwing other important elements in the water out of balance like calcium and this gives you ph buffering and stability w/out fallout of the elements.
and before I just knew it worked! Now I kinda know why, thanks scroge :)

The power of the WWW, dont you just luv it! Your very welcome my friend.
Canna make a Nitric acid & ive used this vicious liquid a few times eva, i got a drop on my hand once & washed it off within a minute, boy did it burn my hand, fk man, it was like someone stubbed out a joint on my hand, very very nasty shit, if anyone is considering using Nitric as the kind Canna sell, please be careful, its really nasty poo & ive stopped using it.
I regularly change my res, every 7-9 days & i regularly flush my medium too, this is important imo, i always consider the phosphate build up qualities that comes with using phos acids.
Once i find out why Hydro companies dont sell Sulphuric i will start to use it myself, but first i need to understand this. there has to be a reason why the likes of Canna & Hydrogargen etc dont sell it. I bet im using Sulphuric on my next grow. Its been a great convo with you Cyat, long may our meetings continue.

Cheers Bro, Respect! ;)

I like how the poster of that article talks in laymens terms, chemisrty is a weak point of mine but the way he explains things has definately helped further my understanding of Water/Management, PH, Alkalinity, Carbonates & PH adjustment etc etc, blew me away too, why i just had to share! :)

dutch passion suck bum big time, funny they used to be great back in the day! they have gone down hill ime!

Ionic rocks for sure, the likes of 'Heath Robinson' luvs the stuff too, i notice its his nute of choice regularly, says it all!¬) Was the first line i ever used IIRC.

ph stable 5,8
ec 1,6 ----i add and 20 ml pk13-14--

also yesterday i change the 400w lamp with another bigger... 1000w
now i have 600+1000w but my space is very small and im almost sure that the temps cause me problem.
in the tops the temp is 31C
in the middle of the plants 26c
and down in the buckets 19,5

i think the h2o2 is the magic liquid..lol.:)
everything are ok now bro!

Nice one Tjo,
Im glad i could be of assistance, together we are strong bro! IC=1 family!

Any new Pics mate? The last pics they looked bloody good friend!

Respect ;)

More Light = More EC ;) Running Co2 enables you to run higher temps, in the 90f+ range is optimal.
Have you considered making your own Co2 generator out of 5 litre plastic bottles, yeast, fruit/juices & sugar, a small air stone & 2 lenghts of silicon airtube(oh & airpump to bubble), fill 1/4 full & add more sugar every week or 2, im going to make one for next time, major increase in available Co2, well worth doing & would be a good move for you bro. :)

hi my friend
i know that more light need more ec and this is the reason i screw it up.my plants has curls in their leaves..not burnings, just curl leaves and not to much..i will fix it that tomorrow.

if you have some link about the co2 you described?nice thought!

hey looking good

i might just chill out here ...

cant wait for the update

hey darko:wave: welcome back man
i had a problem with the ph but scrogerman help me to solve it.
im not complaint but i made some mistakes and that no change yet.
how your slh looks like?? mine smells 2 but not so much..
i have good filter and after the filter the air goes outside of the house through one hole..:dance013: no smells at all bro!

AND

today i saw leaves crawling..to much ec and the slh can not handle it. the girls are fine with 1,2-1,4.. 1,6+ is way 2 much for that strain..
my wattage now is 1000+600..with the 1000 i can have all penetration i want for my big ladies..i saw many sides with buds lower from the tops..and that is my point, the lower branches!:jump:
