time to flower?

I know! Theres no heat down there, i got to figure something out. I still have them on the floor too. Its s catch 22 because there are still mites down there.

The plants are 42 days in flower so six weeks. They were vegged probably 5 weeks.

Then unfortunately advice is futile my friend :tiphat:

They will have problems will low temps, have to get insulation under the pots & heat in the room...or they will suffer. They are an arid/warm loving plant, can't redesign the wheel...and kill them little bastage mites, use the correct product and wipe them out fast,,,or they will wipe you out. They will start spinning webs on the buds next, and then you have real problems.

When you're a farmer, the plants and animals don't care about your problems,,,your personal life,,holidays and such...they plain don't give a shit. They want food, water and warmth, no choice in the matter.

All this is true. I know. Im working on the mites as we speak.

NPS
DE
Spinosad
Pyrethrin spray

Its all in my thread called white spots plants look sickly.

Im going to get them off the floor tonight somehow.

One problem with the temps is they get really hot in the morning when lights come on and they are closed up in a tent no vent. getting fogged by diclorvos gas...

Will it be ok for them to get really hot for a few hours,? Come to think since im NPS the tents wouldnt i want to accelerate their cycle? Get em to hatch and be done with it.

I use Azamax and kill their ass, dead,,done,,spray again in 7 days,,dead,,done.

Hell put them on milk crates, anything but a 56 F floor,,,what are you calling "really hot " ??,,,no controls or fans in the tent ?? And why not a cheap space heater in there on a simple timer when the lights are off ??

I couldnt find azamax. So i bought what they had. Ill try to dig up an old space heater. Im unemployed so i really dont have any money. That is also changing.

I guess im not expecting perfect plants as im just going ahead with what i have.

Thanks for taking the time to help tho. Ill be working on environment as a priority from now on. My biggest issue is getting the mites.

I just want to finish this grow.
Then re-group. For now, ill just do the best i can, continue, and try to make it better.

Im setting them up on some pieces of wood and sheetrock across as a small platform for all three plants.

Yea, then your personal stuff can limit your choices...sorry to hear about the job problem.

It's free to get them off the floor, heaters are $30 new, scrounge around and maybe borrow one ?...those damm mites & thrips can ruin months of hard work, only to end up with dead plants and trashed buds...kill them first.

You will always have deficiency issues if the environment conditions aren't right, dial in solid temps and air flow...it's all about the happy roots first,,,then work on nutrient issues.

Craigslist can be your friend for cheap equipment. A/C, space heaters and old aquarium pumps for hydro people, to name a few, can be found really cheap most times.

I agree %100 with all of that. Thanks.
You know i was just down in my space and i realized theres a lot of things i can do to make it better. So much better with just some work. Its a pretty tight basement so thats a bitch, but would be worth it big time. Theres more space and potential than i realized. In the meantime going to keep them as happy as possible. Environment is my only obstacle now. I WILL kill those mites.

Any advice on doing ebb and flow under low ceilings? 5ft.
Plenty of horizontal room though if i built walls and ditched the tents all together.

These ones on the other hand dont seem to mind about much. I feed them every few days around 500-700ppm really low. Theyre under 250w cfl and literally just chillin down there.

I took 10 clones from the one on the right just yrsterday she doesnt skip a beat. Pretty sure its a good candidate for a SOG type of thing. Its a nice plant i just dont know what she is.

So i found a space heater rated at 1500w. Thats 3 times as much as my lamp. I dont know much about power consumption. How much is that going to cost? If i run it for the rest of the month calculated per kwh it comes to around 40 bucks..... Is it worth it? If the extra heat means even an extra 5 grams then i guess the answer is yes.

Lets see if i can fit it in without melting anything. I hope my breaker can handle it. Does a surge protector help with that?

I dont know electricity.

1500w would be a standard heater for a 15a line, you'll only need to run her 12 hours a day or so,,,when the lights are off. The breaker/fuse in your panel will protect the circuit and wiring, a fire from combustion is another matter...they don't get that hot, keep it clear of combustible materials,,,set it on the floor to take the coldest air out first.

You'll be good to go :)

PS:1500w is the same as a hair dryer you're lady uses, if the electric cost is an issue...tell her to "drip dry" from now on :)

Haha oh man, luckily i dont have that problem yet. And by yet i mean its inevitable. Why are chicks so jealous of plants? So silly, my girl is cool so far but i dont live with her. Yet. Oh boy. Ha.

Expect your girls to take a lot longer to finish, when they are cold & sick they won't be able to digest nutes or mature at a regular rate,,,expect 2 weeks extra.

Your plants are 42 days in flower, these are 18 days in flower.

18 days after flower, I can post a 42 day picture later if you want. My point is: They have to have warm roots to uptake nutes, and grow correctly...then they mature on schedule. If they are cold or sick(or both), everything gets slowed down.

I can see in you pics the buds are stunted, lots of sugar leafs and stocky/squat shape...it's indicative of cold temps, and them not absorbing the nutrients...and the leafs show that also. When they are warm, the buds stretch out and swell...and absorb the nutes while maturing normally...on schedule of 62 days(in my strains case).

Ok i get that. I just diddnt see a pic. Idk. I believe you do you think they will still grow if i get the temps up?

Hell yeah they'll grow, get some heat in there...they still have lots of time, bet they are only 1/2 done.

Thanks a bunch for the consultation. Much appreciated.

Thanks gardener, the ones you mean i think are vegging out as moms right now. Not sure what ill do with the clones i just took but they will be grown somehow. They will def. Be making it outside this spring. That will be a whole different adventure.

55days

55days

Temps are better, plants look happier and are growing. Buds still showing white pistils and calyx are swelling. The SLH is def giving me some strong lemon smell. Pineapple x has got a nice vanilla pine scent, and the "Kabrales"(turns out its a s1 from an unverified cheese cut from a crappy spanish seed co.) has a skunky nutmeg. Would be a great hash producer, its a nice plant and unique.

First 2 pics SLH, rest PX.

Day 60. what to do.

Day 60. what to do.

Plants are doing better with temps up and mites either gone or not around.....GREAT.

Flowers are growing and swelling. Pistils are still tufting up pretty good. Lots of white still popping up. Caylx are swelling.

Upped the feed to 1200ppm at MaxiBloom ratio basically. Some leaves are starting to fade.

Man that SLH is so Lemmen. Its amazing.

Cant tell what to do exactly, ill be watching those trichs tho, dont know if ill flush and when really, its about time to start planning for harvest :) About time Yup.

Any advice is certainly welcome, thank you.
